yep, the guy who bought all the stock in midway made his daughter vice chairman, which is code for my kid needs a job here is a company she can run with no experience in the feild for which it represents, also he plans on maybe making the company private, and will most likely get it licences from vaicom such as nikeloadian games.

but not all good, fi the company is private, and the licences go threw, it wront be more money for MK, it will most likely be good bye MK to show a more family freindly face for the new nikelodean games.

enjoy deceptions, for it will prob be the last truly great MK game ever made.

Even a newcomer to business and marketing would know not to throw away something that brings in decent revenue. Quite simply, it won't happen untill people get bored of the games.

..Which by the way is going to happen eventually, so start getting used to the idea. I like the series, but i don't think it will really be missed too much anyway. There will always be other such games.

What other franchise does Midway have right now anyway? Even if they did want to go more family oriented, it would be completely idiotic to kill off the only franchise that makes big profits for the company.

Let it not go unsaid that I don't answer a quetion now and then.

Midway owns:
Mortal Kombat
Psi Ops
NFL Blitz
NHL Hitz
MLB Slugfest
The Suffering
Narc
Area 51
The Midway Classic series (Spy Hunter, and others just as old)

And a handful of other sub par video games.

don't forget Unreal... as a matter of fact, looking at the midway licenses (including the Suffering, Psi-Ops) and with the aquisition of Unreal, i can't see how you envision the company going kid-based

Even if Midway decided to get rid of MK, don't you think that another videogame develepor would jump at the oppurtunity to pick up MK as one of it's premiere games? Even if Midway does decide to get rid of MK, it will never die, because Ed Boon is where he is because of the fans, I'm sure he appreciates us quite a bit, and would not give up that easily.
