Got a movie that you disliked/hated the ending to? It didn't make sense? Felt that this was an easy way out to a problem? It could have ended this way instead of that?

Well, I got one. Law Abiding Citizen ended way too cheap in my perspective. You got a character who's doing all these sinister killings in ways you're literally stunned on how he's doing so in jail. But, we're relying on that off-screen, never seen guy who magically solves the way of how Butler's character is doing all these killings. Yes, we're going to have it where Butler is caught because of a non-existant, but existing in a way character saved the day.

For a movie to have such a great story to, it could have ended where in the end, Butler is never caught. He's free from prison and starts a new life while still carrying around his daughter's bracelet. Maybe also have it where Foxx's character gets a new job because of this and he apends moretime with his family.

This is all matter of opinion folks. You can also debate about other's or think of another way or think of your own. Got any?

Please forgive the misspellings. On mah phone.

Please be respectful for spoilers to movies that aren't out yet, or have just been released. Any movies older than a few years doesn't need spoilers, but if you prefer to have them, go right ahead.

Alien Vs Predator: Requiem..... I wish they could have ended it there instead of ending it on a shitty cliffhanger.

Iron Man was a solid superhero flick with an ending that landed with a thud. Unfortunate preview for what was coming in a bigger chunk of the sequel, (as it turned out). A very out-of-place stock third act for a movie that at least changed the formula up enough to feel fresh.

I might get a lot of flak for this but the ending to Mulholland Drive pissed me off.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
So after two hours of an engaging story of a woman with amnesia trying to figure out who she is, and interesting subplots about a film director being threatened by a mysterious man in a cowboy hat everything build and builds and for what? Nothing! Turns out it was all or a dream or a fantasy of some sort. Which is just so lazy to do, and if anybody else did that kind of ending the critic's would have ripped them to shreds but since it's David Lynch everyone just says well he does do weird things in his movies and let's him get away with it. And there was no deeper meaning to the whole thing being a dream, Lynch admitted that he just does these types of things to mess with people who try and analyze everything. So yeah a great story ruined by a lazy twist ending.

Despite that I have not seen the first Iron Man, I saw the second one, and thought that it had a crappy last fight ending. Iron Man vs Ivan and the battle didn't last that long. I think it lasted like... three minutes because you're building so much hype for it, and then... dud. It was a good movie, but the final fight was just a killer.

Hate me all you want, but... Dark Knight Rises.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
It was a "too happy" ending for my taste. I was starting to get a little emotional, but then I saw Bruce and Selina together and rolled my eyes.

All the good guys survived and these two ended up together. Meh...

I didn't hate it, it just disappointed me. As simple as that.

Lately? Shutter Island really angered me with how bad its ending/twist was. It almost felt like Dennis Lehane had such a great idea and had built such a great concept around it yet didn't know how to end the book.

Yes, I'm speaking of the book, whose final 30 pages made me throw it across the room and actually yell "are you KIDDING me!?" when I was done, but this counts for the movie as well, since I saw it and had the exact same reaction.

It's like the ending to Lost basically. So much happens and leads the viewer on this great journey in this great mystery and you don't know where it will lead. Then the ending comes and you realize that either the writer(s) didn't know where it was going to go either after setting up a great concept and putting everything in motion, or they just took the easy way out, or simply put, the vision for the ending was nowhere near as good as the vision for the begining and middle.

It's just another copout ending because once you realize that the main character is a crazy inmate, which is a terrible twist that I actually thought of while I was reading the book in a "oh God, I hope they don't do something stupid like this..." kind of a way, it negates everything that happened before that. The story you just read and watched, through the first 9/10ths, effectively means nothing because the entire focus changes from a man discovering the truth to a man discovering himself and everything else means nothing.

Man... So bad, and such a terrible thing to do such great characters in such a great setting.

This. Catwoman caused every. Single. Problem for Bruce throughout that entire movie, and even though she was wrapped up with worse people, she stillshowed she was a bad person in her own right, and seeing Bruce just ignore all that and go out of his way to make her life better pissed me off to no end. When I saw the final scene I literally threw my drink against the theater wall and shouted "BULL SHIT" (it was fairly empty, so no one minded too much).

Well in the Nolan universe, Batman isn't motivated by justice, or the want to do good, or the death of his parents. He is motivated by the prospect of pussy. He stopped being Batman for eight years because his girlfriend died. He left Alfred because he told him that Rachel picked Harvey instead of him. And he ignored all of Catwoman's faults because he wanted her. Just an observation.

I never really saw Bruce go after Catwoman all the time.

The only problem I had with that movie is how it's so easy to read the ending of it when you hear Alfred talking

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
about how he wants to see Bruce with some woman at the restuarant that he normally goes to. Doesn't have to speak a word to him or whatever, just know that they're there

Right from that scene alone, I knew that the movie was going to end like that.

Although I'm still convinced that Gordon is superman. Taking bullets like a man, slithering through waterfalls in the sewers, and somehow walking out of a truck with an atomic bomb ricocheting around is just...

It's way more pronounced in the comic. In Catwoman 1 the end up making out on a rooftop and then having sex in her apartment.

Let's see...

WARNING! Spoilers below. Read at your own risk.

Pokémon: The First Movie
After seeing the ending, I felt I like the film was a waste of time. All that PokéAwesomeness just for Mewtwo to wipe their minds clean? Not to mention he sent them back though time to before it all happened. I felt cheated.

The Descent
Of all the women, only one "survived." She made it out of the stupid cave, got into her car, drove, stopped, cried, got spooked by a ghost, and then woke up back in the cave, smiling at the mirage of her dead daughter. I'm like, "So did she fuckin' make it out or what!?"

Dark Shadows
Though I must admit, the movie did live up to my expectations, the ending was still kinda lame, really just the whole "Oh I'm gonna kill myself like the last girl..." "No, I'll save you..." *kissing*

DOA: Dead Or Alive
They could've showed some fighting. And fuck those swords.

21 Jump Street
With the way the film was going, it seemed as if Jenko was falling in love with Schmidt, and I was totally feeling that, because it's rare to see cop partners fall in love in a film, especially a comedy. I was really hoping it would end with Schmidt and Jenko having some sort of happy ending kiss, but instead Schmidt kissed dumb fat blonde. I was like, "No! You're supposed to be with Jenko, you derp! You go gay right now!"

Well, that's all I got for now.

Well I definitely have more movies with endings that disappointed me, I only have one on my mind.

50/50

Now it really did seem like he was going to die, but of course he had to live. Not only that, but he even gets to be with the girl he wanted. Could it be anymore Hollywood if it tried? I was really hoping for a somber ending, instead it gets the "Happily ever after" treatment.

The ending didn't even feel like an ending for me.

I didn't know it was over until the credits rolled. I too agree, though, that the dude should have died. But of course, the film is meant to inspire hope.

Well, what's creepy about 21st Jump Street, you have Schmidt, who's technically an adult right now, kissing an underage teen...

When I saw that with my boyfriend we both looked at each other and thought the same thing. Although, with the amount of weirdness they brought into that movie, I wouldn't have minded if Schmidt and Jenko kissed.

Actually, the girl was 18, she mentioned her age while she and Schmidt were talking on the phone.

Even with that, though, I still think she was too young. Should've been 19.

Well it's based on a real person and he lived through the cancer so I don't see him living as being that big of a deal. Of course it would probably surprise the hell out of him when he saw a movie where he died at the end.

Just thought of another movie that should have ended better.

WARNING: Spoilers below! Read at your own risk!

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
I watched it for the first time today, and while it was good, I think the funeral was kinda lame. Why were those people dumb enough to think Holmes would actually let himself die like that? Idiots.
