Nintendo Wii U Console Superthread
Clickety-Click
Seeing that console and release date make it seem as if Nintendo's in with the joke as well.
So who's buying this "inovated" piece of technology?
Excited?
I would be, if reporters wouldn't claim the power is just barely on par with the 360 and PS3.
What's your take?

Everything from Nintendo is a buy.
I can't wait to see more of it's capabilities and the launch titles to go with it. Super Smash Bros. here we come!

That's going to be the best April 1st ever when Nintendo shouts "April Fools, there is no Wii U!"

Cena vs. Rock and Wii U in the same day? Nah, it can't be

Oh god, we better hope that there isn't a Mortal Kombat game for launch.

Heh, this is about the same wait as the wait from the announcement of MK9 to the release date.
Have fun Nintendo fans

No I'm just imagining Ed Boon and co on twitter.
Noobde - we rigged up that Motaro model just in time. #ordidwe?
Khameleon is cool beans in my opinion.
I think that Wii U has worse controllers than the original Wii. Although Nintendo does always want to add new innovations to its systems, it doesn't have to mean they have to do it if they're going the wrong route. They should have simply developed the successor of Wii to what Xbox 360 is to Xbox; updated graphics (and useless camera peripheral later on).

She should just be a timed exclusive if that were to happen.

It's July and you're already falling for April Fools jokes? Really? Really?!

I don't care about all that new motion controller or anything, I just want to see some cool games. The whole system power thing doesn't bother me either. The wii is an awesome console. It did more with less, I'm sure the Wii-U will as well (because we all know the other next generation consoles will be way more powerful) The only things I'm not liking about the system is the console looks lame and too much like a Wii with round corners, the name sucks horribly, and New Super Bros. Mii (I love Mario, but I just wish this whole Mii thing will die)

Apparently Khameleon is a Nintendo fan lol. She has appeared in enough Nintendo MKs to laugh at the impossible thought of her being in Smash Bros.
I've become a bit disillusioned with Nintendo. Or, at least, Nintendo of America.
NOA has refused to release, not just one, but SEVERAL of my most anticipated games, ranting from The Last Story to Xenoblade Chronicles to Pandora's Tower to Fatal Frame 4 to Mother 3, while at the same time slowly but surely letting many of their best franchises fade away (F-Zero, new Star Fox, Pikmin, half the roster of Smash Bros, basically), and some of their best franchises have taken serious missteps (hello, Other M... and happy forgotten 25th Anniversary to you, Metroid).
NOA is thriving off of Wii Sports, Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon. And those ARE system-selling games... but I want more, and it's frustrating knowing that there's no good reason for NOA not to give us more.
Technology is not the most important thing for a game system. Games are. And why would I want to get excited for a new system knowing that the games I want aren't being made, aren't being translated, and aren't being localized? And then Nintendo goes and makes their systems region-locked, just to make importing an English copy of "Xenoblade" a huge pain.
I do love Nintendo... but they're thriving off of my nostalgia right now. Ports and remakes of games I loved in the past. The fresh, new experiences by visionary creators such as Hironobu Sakaguchi, the Xenogears/Xenosaga team, and even the talents of Suda51 are just flat-out ignored by Nintendo of America right now. And then there's all that talk of Mega Man Legends 3 getting canceled...
So, why would I buy a new system that's comparable to one I already own when Nintendo has a proven recent track-record of not catering to the demands of their very own fans and gamers? Great, grandma can play Wii Sports in HD... but can I play Last Window, the sequel to the phenomenal Hotel Dusk, or can I see how the Fatal Frame series concludes? No? NOA doesn't care about these fans?
Then I have little reason to care for Nintendo, as much as I WANT to.

I want them to step off this dumb motion gimmick, I liked the Wii but I miss the old Nintendo before this phase. There is innovative and there is trying to hard to be different like the Wii U just showed us.

I think the wii u sucks anyway just look like an add on to the wii
