'Sup boys & girls.

This thread is for all those scenes you've seen on TV (it doesn't matter if it was on a show or something real) and/or movies that left you wow

There are dozens of examples I can give, but I wanna post one that I just saw about 5 minutes ago and as much as I wanna forget it ('cause it was too fuckin' unbelievable), I wanna share with ya'll.

For those who saw tonight's episode of "The Shield", I think you also thought/screamed "Holy crap!" after watching a latino gangster force Capt. Aceveda to give him a bj.

It's stuff like this that makes "The Shield" the ONLY show that pumps out shocking, truly original material every single week, and it's a damn shame the season is so short and we have to wait so long for a new one.

So...what were YOUR moments?

um, eww...

ok um, well, i guess, when i saw that movie identity (spoilers!) when that mother got rammed shacked by that car or when that man had the baseball bat shoved down his throat, or when they held that actresses head, or... when i founded out the killer was the little boy/fat man, though the movie sucked, it did leave me speechless, though more dumbfounded.

HBO's Oz was filled with a shitload of jaw droppers. I'll list just some that really stuck out in my mind.

1. When Robson, an Arian, took a razor to his transplanted gums because they belonged to a cadaver of a black man.

2. Alverez cutting/stabbing out Rivera's eyes.

3. Jazz Hoyte stabbing Timmy Kirk with a wooden cross (still on of the most fucked up things I've seen).

4. Keller snapping the neck of a dude going down on him.

5. The Arians crucifying of a priest who was charged as a pedophile.

SOS, I know EXACTLY what you mean, and I'm definitely gonna post a couple of "Oz" moments myself. For example:

-Cutler & Robson "spooning" (the short ammount of time that scene lasted were the longest seconds of my TV-watching life, and I think those who know what I'm talking about would agree with me).

**SPOILER WARNING**
BTW, Noob-Sareena, I thought "Identity" was among the best movies I had ever seen...until the moment of the big twist. I thought it ruined what would've been an incredible film (and the kid being the killer -PAINFULLY OBVIOUS- is NOT the twist I'm talking about).

I have yet to eat cereal since that... Just the sheer thought of that makes me cringe.

When Owen Hart fell from the rafters to his death, was a pretty shocking moment for me.

A tie between Connor's death in Highlander: Endgame (unexpected to say the least) or Neo's sacrafice in Revolutions. both left me baffled. i was literally starring blankly into space trying to comprehand what had just occoured. deaths in movies or shows are always unexpected or hard. especially when u've been with that character for some time now (prequals or earlier episodes) and then u see them go. just like that. really eerie feeling...

Fun Fact#1:

Not everyone (myself included) has seen Matrix Revolutions.

Fun Fact#2:
Not everyone who hasn't seen Matrix Revolutions has had the movie spoiled for them.

Silly RW, include **SPOILER ALERT** or something next time tongue

What left me speechless...yes the Shield has LOTS of those moments...hmmmmmmmmm

Finding out Vader is Luke's father is hard on a 6 year old...

Bad movie or not, Final Destination 2 had me scared to drive on the parkway for a day or two...just all those bodies all over the road, screaming for help...that's VERY real...

Silence of the Lambs when Wild Bill has his manhood between his legs and poses like a woman...

LOTR:ROTK - 'NO! From this day forth, man shall bow to Hobbits'

A few scenes in The Passion of the Christ were very brutal, not really upsetting to me being a 24 year old male, so I didn't 'turn away' but I will admit there were some parts that were just very harsh..

I'm gonna keep adding to this thread cause there is tons of these moments in good cinema/tv...

ps - UConn beating Duke left me speechless for a good while, I'm still pissed off

When Nina killed Jack Bowers wife on '24' at the end of the first season and when he killed her this season! I mean... wow! wow

It's a shame that Fox takes the show off for two months so they can add their useless reality shows! It's too good a show (along with The Shield) to be treated like that!

A recent episode of The Simpsons, when Snowball 2 died. It may sound stupid, but when a show's been on for 14 years, and a character that's been there since the beginning just dies (even if it's just a cat) it's kinda shocking.

Well you gotta remember that every network does pretty much the same thing with all their shows. The most a new season for any show lasts is 22-24 episodes. The fall season for most shows begins in September, though some begin until November (I remember hating the X-Files making me wait that muchfurious), so take into consideration how many weeks there are from Sept.-Nov. until May (when the season ends).

Also, 24 is one of those shows that (unfortunately) cannot show repeats (unless it's for a marathon) on FOX, so that's why the show "disappears" for so many weeks.

BTW, I agree completely with the 2 moments you mentioned, but the ending of the 1st season was the more shocking of the 2, since Jack killing Nina was long over-due.

But hey! Nina had a way of getting herself out of situations by offering deals in season 2. By using Jack to obtain her deals, she managed to have an influence on him. Though is was only a temporary measure to both stay alive and stay out of prison, it was at those crutial times when Jack had the option of killing her or sending her back to prison.

Then when she tried to offer information that she didn't have when Jack confronter her, I was almost sure he was going to at least consider what he thought she had. I guess she ran out of barganing chips to bring to the table.

I guess a straight flush in the form of a 9mm bulltet beat her two pair in the form of bullshit.

OH! I forgot! The season finale of Nip/Tuck when what's his name get a new face, but it was that of some guy who was also wanted by the feds. That was funny as hell. I wonder if those guys will see him again to, 'thank' them for the new face. wink

The ending of the movie Se7en. For those who don't want anything to be spoilered, stop reading now.

**SPOILER ALERT**
**SPOILER ALERT**

****************************************************************************************************
When they get to the middle of the desert I had no clue as to how it could have ended. Not even with the smallest of clues (the third unidentified blood type, the lack of Paltrow scenes). But as soo as I saw that little brown box with the blood stain the "Oh shit" factor started to set in. Once John Doe says he paid a visit to Detective Mill's wife, instantly I started screaming "Kill the motherfucker!!", and for a brief moment I forgot I was even watching a movie. And once Mills finds out that John Doe killed his wife and unborn child I was just in shock. Mills then begins to unload his gun into Doe's head and body, and after that last shot is when I came out of my state of shock. It was one of the few times a movie has gotten me to get that emotional. I still to this day have yet to see a movie that has gotten me that pissed off. If that had been me I would have reloaded and emptied another clip into the fucker. I'm just going to add a little more to the rest of this to cover up anything that someone could accidently read. So here one last sentence to throw them off the track, I hope it works.

Not a lot of tv shows are out there which can shock you. Somehow I can constantly be shocked at how moronic people on reality tv shows act!
