"You see, I face a whole new Monster!! I face a man, who represents, the Nintendo Entertainment System..."

This was my first attempt at building a stick. I had been wanting to for quite some time, but hadn't had the total sum of resources needed to do so. Though, once I graduated I rushed this project down.
It worked, for the most part, when I first finnished it in late febuary, early march. However, it had some ground and solder point issues that I was getting tired of dealing with. I just finnished re-wiring it tonight.
Anywho, let me know what you think and if you have questions I'd be more than happy to answer them; to the best of my knowledge. BTW, sorry about the trashy lighting in the pics - especially the PCB, ack.. I just go my digi cam on Sunday and haven't played with the apature yet.Oh, and my next project...a Supergun.WOOT!! Anywho, peace and love ya'll.

As long as they're not screw tops or an edgy hex-shape they wouldn't be too bad. Just laying your little finger across the left two is a pretty good guide for getting a sure feel on your directions.

It depends on how a person grips the stick, I'd suppose. Like, I grip it with the outside of my hand resting along side the bolts, yet away from them. I execute with a combonation of my index, middle finger, and thumb only; depending on what it is that I'm executing.
Though, some peeps have a grip like they are holding a wine glass or like they're jerking off. I'm pretty sure if a dude grips it like they're jerking off, you're going to get sore after a while.

I used Happs for my shizzle. The stick is a Comp and the buttons are concave horizontals. I didn't get a 360 for two reason; one, you need to hack an analog pad and use it's +5v or whatever to hook up the 360's, since they're electric. I didn't feel like messing with that. Also, if I'm going to utilize a powersource from the pad itself, I'd rather pimp out with some SWEET LED's and light effects.
Second, eh, I just like switch based sticks for my fighters. I mean, I can't find my diagnals as easily as I can with a switch based stick. And even when I do, I can't hold em'. Though, I do like the spring rate of electic sticks better. That, and 360's are like $40+ as compared to the $12 for the comp. If i'm going to spend $40, I might as well import a japanese stick. "drools"
Anywho, thanks everyone for the comments, I appreciate it.
LOL..holding it like they're jacking off..sad, sad player that would be.

Don't steal my idea unless you build me one please.
lol

Dude, I've often thought about modding one of those madcatz driving wheels. Like, maybe throw on a Momo racing wheel and a harder spring, maybe even F1 shifting
I've seen a GT racing wheel. It had a cage, though, and a shifter. You actually sat in a cage, lol. Not sure how much it costs though. I'm not even sure if they imported it to the states or not. Anywho, peace.
