I hope they scrap the mix an match stage concept. That just sounds stupid. The game looks pretty fun though, but looks waaaaaaaay too similar with SSBB. They need to find their own style for me to be more convinced.

On that note, I can't WAIT for Nintendo to reveal the new SSB already. I'm dying man. I'm really dying.

Its a shameless ripoff of the best video game series ever, but it looks like fun. If its as polished as Smash Bros. then I'll definitely grab it

Apparently you can't KO people in this game, you can only score points by using your special. Umm, wow

The only differences I've seen from SSB based on this is that characters actually have a health bar instead of that percentage thing, and apparently there are three attack buttons instead of the two (I haven't played Brawl, so I don't know how that is). Oh, and SSB doesn't have Mix and Match arenas... or M rated characters.

They don't have life bars, those are their super meters. The only way to win is to use your super, hit opponents and get points that way.

Smash Bros. has normal attacks and specials, so yeah its different.

Also, I think Metal Gear is an M rated series

PS3 watered version of SSB. I dont think that this game will surpass SSB in it's quality or popularity. However, I like the idea of it. The characters look fairly good and the gameplay looks like SSB, which I can enjoy. If I owned a PS3, I would prob get it. I own a xbox. Those money hungry succubuses of Microsoft will never put one of these out.

While I agree that really is nothing more than a blatant rip-off of SSB and I'm honestly surprised this game hasn't come along sooner. I'll honestly buy it if it has solid MP, something SSB was sorely lacking IMO. Considering i only own like 3 games for my PS3 I need to get some ore use out of it, this game should do the trick.
I'm guessing some of the other characters will probably be Cole from inFamous, Snake (and possible others) from MGS, Nariko from Heavenly Sword, Drake from Uncharted, Sac Boy, maybe other GoW characters besides Kratos, possible character from the Team Ico games.

Again, I haven't played Brawl, so I overlooked Metal Gear... my mistake.

If one of the Heavy Rain characters was in this (i.e. Norman), I would be absolutely elated. No chance of that, though.

This looks like it needs a lot of work. I can barely make out the characters, and it looks just like SSB.

If they just polished this up, I'd happily buy it.

No. All the confirmed 6 characters are all Playstation exclusives. But I'm sure there will be at least 1 third party character.

This looks pretty good.
BUT IF CRASH IS NOT IN, I WILL NOT BUY IT

1. I feel that a game like this isn't meant for the Playstation controller. I don't know why but the controller doesn't seem like something for this type of game to me.

2. I guess this could also be an issue with the controls but having X to jump instead of just up on the stick or D-Pad is pretty dumb to in my opinion. Is "Up" not simple enough? I don't get it.

3. The roster seen in the video looks alright but the fact that I am not really connected to some of them since PS exclusive titles are pretty uninteresting to me is a bit of a let down. Now of course I am not saying there should be characters from games of multiple consoles because then it wouldn't be "Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale" but I would probably use a different mix of characters that I may post later when I have the time to.

4. Mix & Match stages can either turn out to be really good or really bad. Not "All will turn out bad" or "All will turn out good" but a mix. I think that while some are Mix & Matched, some should just be from one game.

I'll wait to see more before I decide whether I need to dust of my PS3 for this though.
