Possible XBOX 2 Shot????

Over deze uitspraak kan niet getwijfelt worden, want het is namelijk de M-Systems President en CEO Dov Moran die ons deze nieuwe informatie meedelen. De reden om geen harde schijf in de Xbox 2 te plaatsen is de volgende:

"It's a cooperation agreement. The potential isn't clear, but it's in the billions of dollars. Microsoft has taken the hard disk out of its Xbox. The only thing left will be a CD; that's all. At some point, when users want to save their e-mail messages, copy music, or anything like that, the only storage they'll have is what we give them. It's worth hundreds of millions to the company, spread over a few years, and we'll be the main supplier for it; and I hope the sole supplier.

I found this on justplay.nl and thought it might be worth looking at anyway.

could be. i think its just a computer image of what its going to look like. hey thought you were gonna be gone for along time. well anywho glad to see that ur back on the forums.

First, glad to see you back on the board MW.

Secondly, I doubt that's the final model. It may be a test design, but I don't see any controller ports in the front, and I doubt it'll be wireless.

Thanx for the welcome back. I hope this isn't the final model either. I don't like the design and like you said I don't see any controller ports on the front but who knows, it just may be wireless.I personally would like that aspect.

It hasn't been confirmed or not weather there will be a hard drive or not in Xbox 2. It is a liability for microsoft becuase of piracy, but they know it is what made the first Xbox as powerfull of a console as it was. The only report that there isn't going to be a hard drive in Xbox 2 is a report that some middle east company put out they they had been contracted by Microsoft to manufacture some kind of usb device for storing data on future Xbox products. There was also a report though that Micosoft was beta testing a new hybrid PC called "Xbox Next" with a hard drive to see what consumers would think about it. So until Microsoft official shows off the Xbox 2/Next it's all speculation.

Yeah awhile ago Gamespot did its rumor thing and MS has stated they aren't sure at this point, they don't comment on rumors.

i think a article in neoseeker.co a while back said they were gonna get rid of the hard drive for flash memory data base. but yeah i dont like the design of that xbox. to freking big. thats why i like the size of gamecube.
