For anybody that cares about Resident Evil there are two new games coming out for the Nintendo 3DS. Resident Evil: Revelations and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries.

Revelations is starting to look like the game that returns the game to it's roots. Slower pace, cramped/clausterphobic interiors, and actually being scary (which RE5 was NOT). Even better Jill isn't Nina Williams-ized in this game either. This could possibly be the game I've been waiting for since the REmake. We'll see.

The Mercenaries is basically a retail version of the extra game modes in RE4/5. If you've played that game mode than you know what it's about.

Yea these games look amazing. Im really excited for Revaltions.

a new RE: Mercenaries Vs. was also announced for iphone/ipod touch.

Mercenaries 3d has be excited to play as Claire Redfield again, nobodys given me her on a solid level since RECVX.

RE2 able to run on the playstation phone aswell? damn I love life right now.

good stuff.
Yeah Revelations sounds pretty good. I'll have to look into it..

I think they are great, but one thing that put me off the Mercenaries is that it has a first person aiming view.

I would agree. I never thought that the Mercenaries game mode from RE4 and 5 was ever good enough to stand on it's own. It embraces the frantic-non-scary side that bubbled out of RE4/5. About the only thing I truly embraced about this mode was the fact you could play as characters that Capcom just straight up ignores (REBECCA CHAMBERS).

Revelations seems where it's at. I haven't been freaked out or startled by a Resident Evil game since the REmake and that's a shame. Hopefully Revelations can bring the series back in a big way.
