Roy Jones goes down in the 9th round by knockout. He got his with a hard right hand from Glen Johnson and hit his head hard when he fell to the canvas. He was down for 3-5 minutes and doctors had to check to see if he was alright.
Update: Roy Jones suffered a concussion from the hard fall his head took on the canvas.
DAMN! What can I say but the Roy Jones Jr. I've seen for years is gone.

HUH! Madden 2003 had Michael Vick and SNAP! There goes his leg. Let's see what happens to Ray Lewis during the season.
I heard that Roy Jones is still in the ring and is still refusing to go to the hospital. Man! Go to the bloody hospital Roy.

it struck more than just Vick
in Madden 2001 (late in the 2000 season) Eddie George and his Titans lost in the first round at home against the Ravens, followed by a terrible 2001 season when they should've been a lock
Madden 2002... Daunte Culpepper misses four games in 2K1 due to injury, and the Vikings end 5-11
Madden 2003: Marshall Faulk is on the cover, and the Rams miss their first play-off since 1998
and that's just Madden (i don't think I even need to comment on any of NBA Live's cover'stars')

LOL, I feel bad for em son, His problem is he neva gambled, he neva took the big fights, whether he would of won or lost, he woulda became a better fighter; since he played safe and picked all the easy fights, he don't know what to do when the chips are down. Tarver knocked em out cuz that was Tarvers #1 goal in life, he aint shit though, das why he got knocked da fuck out right after dat.

Yeah, I watched the fight, I gotta say, Glenn Johnson came for a fight, he took it to Jones right when the first round began. Roy did not dominate one second of that fight, the knockout was sick, even worse then Tarver. I was scared for a moment, because Roy didn't move for a while, and he was out cold, and the way his head bounced off the mat, eeesh. Roy has to retire, he should've gone directly to the hospital, his days are pretty much over, sad to say.

Damn. I'm so pissed Roy Jones lost.
As for the Madden curse:
In 2001-Eddie George was on the cover and he actually injured his leg and was out for most of he season.
In 2002-Daunte Culpepper- He also go injured for most of the season if not for the whole season.
In 2003-Marshal Faulk-Injued for most of the year. Came bak late but this was
when Trung Canidate was the shit that year.
In 2004 - Michael Vick- everyone knows the story.

read my above post... Culpepper was only out for 4 games and i covered all the other Madden curses (except for the most recent, Vick)
nobody called it the EA curse but KK... everyone knows this shit started with Madden and Eddie George
everybody place your bets on what kind of freak accident will happen to Ray Lewis now

Time for the Pete Rose of MKO to give his odds:
2:1: Injured during season
4:1: Hit by car
10:1: Contracts radiation poisoning from playing game in question
15:1: Shot by Jamal Lewis

the SNL TV Fun House skit about Ray Lewis will come true.
Maybe thats why Madden dosen't want to appear on the cover.

The first few rounds, I though he was just baiting him, waiting for a miss so he could flurry on him. After round 5 I decided he was just zoning out. He was like Tyson in that fight he got his ass kicked in, lazy and not in the fight at all.
He got rocked, he was down for quite a few moments. Anyone watchin the fight this upcoming weekend?

Psst.
If your emplying de la Hoya took money to go down against Hopkins, your bullshiting yourself. Hopkins hasn't lost a fucking fight since '93. Tough titties said the kiddie but the milk's still good.

If I find someone who's ordering I will, my bet is on Mayorga, if this was the same Trinidad from 4-5 years ago, I think it might be a different story.
