The reason I'm asking this is because I noticed in a gameplay video of Marvel vs Capcom 3 the character Spencer has a move that's identical to Scorpion's spear move. He even says Scorpion's line "Get over here!" I hope Netherrealm Studios is doing something about this because it's just simply not right.

Ed has known about this for some time. He said on his twitter that he felt incredibly honored. I would too, honestly.
Also, you can't copyright a phrase in that context. If Capcom had named the game, "Get Over Here!", NRS still couldn't do anything about it.

As soon as Capcom sues them for EX moves and the Blanka ball.

Regardless of Capcom's theft, only Scorpion will be known for "Get Over Here."
We have nothing to worry about.

Well this thread is pretty retarded... im sorry, but seriously, with that criteria Capcom could sue over Tanya's screwdriver cause it was Cammy's, Raiden's torpedo cause it was Bison's, etc. etc.... seriously, since when are moves trademarked? They obviously repeat...
Granted, scorpion is famous for it, but Dhalsim is famous for stretching, u dont see Marvel suing for Mr. Fantastic...

lol well while they're at it They should probably sue Bioware too.
Mass Effect 2:Jacob Taylor will say Get Over Here when he uses biotic pull.

smh at this thread
Scorpion is ten times more popular than Nathan "Rad" Spencer is. This is clearly a compliment from Capcom to Street Fighter's rival of all time - Mortal Kombat. People will notice the connection of the move to Scorpion easily.
This actually got me a bit more interested of Marvel vs Capcom 3 because Bionic Commando: Rearmed is one of my favorite games and I'm about to buy its sequel too as it will be released in February.
I get your point though nonetheless; there have been some far more ridiculous suits in the gaming industry before. The latest one is Axl Rose's suit against Activision and its Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock. The thing is just that Ed Boon isn't that stupid and thin-skinned.

That's not how trademarks work, kittens. If Spencer was a NINJA with a spear move that says " Get over here" then maybe Warner could sue.
and besides if WB is suing over this then Capcom needs to counter sue over Ken Mast- I mean "Kobra" in MKD
