Singing....
Hello...given the populace here, this is probably a long shot, but does anyone have any tips on improving vocal range and projection?
I've been trying to master one song in particular that I've not been able to do as long as I've known it. It's The Way Back sung by the original Henry Jekyll from the Broadway play Jekyll and Hyde. The very last note I cannot quite hit.
If there are any singers on the board, your tips are welcome.

Hmmmmmmm... to bad you can't get in touch with Hugh Jackman.
Well... from what I've heard about vocal strength and projection, think about bringing up your breaths from the pit of your stomach. If you're singing from your chest, then it might not be as strong as you want it to be. Also, lots of practice helps along with technique.
You might also want to try asking some stage actors al well. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Well when I used to sing in the past, my musical director would have me try and sing to artist that were a step above my vocal range. I had a high voice when i was younger. So my Music director would have me sing to Mariah(none of the screechy stuff) "Vision Of Love" or "I Can't Live If Living Is Without You" and record my voice, and we'd go back and back until I either got it or the teacher thought we should stop. Never strain your voice it's BAD and can take a long time to heal. Eventually you will workout the vocal chords so that they can hit the appropriate note. But you have to practice like for a couple hours a day about 4ish days a week. If you out forth the effort and your voice can't hit it then you may not be able to.
Good Luck and drink hot tea.

A few tips in general...
To help the volume of your voice and projection, pick a spot on the opposite side of the room and breathe out quickly and powerfully and say "ha" as if you're trying to aim for it... It sounds stupid, but the singer for my band got me to do this and it helped quite a bit.
Another thing you might want to check is your key. Alot of people think they have brilliant singing voices, but then there are arseholes like me who have perfect pitch and actually do notice if a note is even 1/4 of a step out. It's easy to fall into that trap, so I'd recomend downloading a program that gives you the option of playing different sclaes/modes to compare your voice to. The only setback is if you don't have the ear for it you probably wont realise if you aren't in key, but that comes with time and practice. Something like Absolute Fretboard Trainer does well, it's meant to help with guitar and music theory but I've used it for my vocals with good results...
Another thing, as dumb as it makes you feel, practice singing vowels and just basic sounds in different keys. You may feel stupid standing around singing "Eeee", "Oooo", "Aaaa", "Iiiii", but trust me, it really does help and I'm not just trying to make an arse of you
And besides that, the most obvious thing that has already been mentioned - PRACTICE!
I couldn't play a bass solo with stupidly quick tapping and sweeping when I first picked up bass, but I can now. Know why? I practiced like a motherfucker and still do
