There is a rumour going around that Sony and Microsoft may consider using Download Disribution for the PS3 and XBox2, for those that don't know what it is, instead of going to a store to buy your games you pay for them using your credit card and then download them via websites to the respective systems Hard drives, this would be from either the game companies themselves or the Sony/Microsoft sites.
Of course this would be broadband only, but i still see a couple of problems with this, one is time, i dont know about you guys but i dont want to wait for a game thats going to be a few gig in size to download, and nothing has been said as to wether the downloads would be compacted in anyway, also what if something went wrong with the download would you be able to try again?, but the big thing that bothers me the most is Hard disk space, your going to need one hell of a lot of space if your planning on keeping the games, at least with DVD roms your not taking up space and can keep them as long as you like, not only that but updates and other downloadables would need space as well, i'm hoping this is just a rumour and not something that will be fact, but what do the rest of you think would you rather download your games or have it stay as it is and go to a store?.
