While SC2 was easily my favorite in the series, this announcement disappoints me. They could've had a SC HD Collection and the first 3 games on it.
Kind of disappointed Link and Spawn aren't in it as well, but that's understandable. The licensing for those 2 expired years ago. Still would've been cool if they could've renewed them but oh well.
My mains were Kilik and Assassin.

He's not really something I'd show off. A lot of players seemed to really dislike him. I'm sure he'll be there though. Unlike Spawn or Link, Necrid is Namco's character. They probably don't need to license him just because MacFarlane helped create him.

I rather play offline. Online is a shithole with way too many butthurt losers.

This is what "friend lists" are for.

Yeah, but once you get beyond the MK fandom, the rest of the fighting game scene is mostly made up of ridiculous assholes. Their opinions shouldn't be given too much consideration.

I for one am excited to hear about this, Soul Calibur II was my favorite game in the series. I can't wait to see how it works in HD, also can't wait to bring back my Legendary Trio: Cervantes, Seung Mina & Voldo.

I'm glad they were able to have the guest characters available on both platforms. Still no Link though...

Maybe they'll make up a character from scratch and give him Link's moveset.

The game just became a must buy for me. I honestly thought they wouldn't make it in. Spawn was easily my favorite character in the game.
[edit]: I just so happen to have these still kicking around as well:

Sign me up! Now, if they could get some way to put Link in, this game will instantly become the most popular game ever.
I think this game is Evo material.

Soul Calibur 2 was one of my favorite games, but this is annoying. Just make SC5

My mistake, I meant 6. Either way, this just reminds me of the creators of Street Fighter when they repackage a game for more sales instead of making something new. At least its going to be a remake of the best SC game

Soulcalibur II HD is something fans have actually been asking for.
SC2 is the most popular and well known game in the Soulcalibur series and should be available for play on current consoles, as well as online.
And to say, with Street Fighter, I can at least give Capcom credit for releasing updates of their games with new characters and mechanics, instead of re-releasing the same game over and over again.
The only fighting game I can think of that is cursed with such a thing is Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, albeit I fucking love that game.

Doubt we'll see Link since there's no Wii U version. Nintendo has no incentive to include him.
