sound problem.

my speakers on my pc don't play any sound but when i play my pinball game sound comes through. it's pissing me off. i have no sound when i watch videos on netflix,gamespot,ign,more.

any suggestions.

now my pinball won't even play sound. i have windows xp. it's started few days ago and i can't figure it out. i'm don't really know how to effect my pc. don't know how to fix it or even what the problem is.

i'm pretty sure my speakers are broken. plugged some headphones into it and got sound. even my dad thinks my speakers are broken. anyone can give me some names for speakers that are good but not expensive. please list price range. anything but emachine cause these are the speakers that broke.
