just got sf4 today on steam. was wondering if you guys could give me some tips on moves and etc to make me a better player. been trying to perform chun - li's super move and ultra combo and im having trouble with it. says i hold back, forward, forward, back + kick. i'm not great at timing so any info would be great. theres other moves i'm having trouble with like vega, guile, few others.
beat arcade with ryu, ken so far. unlocked some art and 1 character sakura. played some practice. beat challenge 1.
i'm loving the game so far.

The best advice I can give anyone wanting to learn SF4 (any version) is to find a tournament player who uses your character and study what they do.
For some overall tips, you'll want to learn your character's fastest/safest normals. In street fighter, most of your damage is going to be from pokes, so learn how to incorporate your best pokes into your ground game. I would say practice links, but if you're not playing on a 2ms monitor, that may not be worth your labors. At least practice block strings for pressure.
For basic info/strategies: EventHubs
And try not to jump. Ever.

it was cheaper since steam had no dlc for it. also steam had sf4 arcade edtion for 39.99 and dlc was another 30. sf x tekken is 59.99 and dlc is 40. steam doesn't even have super sf 4.
also i do feel im getting better. doing the challenges help. unlocked more stuff. haven't played online yet. still practicing. still having trouble with moves. but am getting better. sometimes i can perform the charge moves. poor finger gets numb though.

Refer to GameFAQs for all your strategic needs. All I can advise is that you practice, figure out your strengths and your weaknesses, see which character(s) suit your preferred fighting style, and practice, practice, practice.
That is all.
