The Cabin In The Woods. Discuss.

I haven't seen it yet, but I plan to within the week and I gotta know others opinion on it who have seen the movie. What should I expect? From commercials and trailers it looks to be an "Evil Dead" type of movie with horror and a dash of comedy.

Saw it yesterday, and enjoyed it a lot.

Its not really all that scary. Its more of a clever parody of the cliche horror movie that has over run the market lately. Mostly the "Four college kids go to ____, party, and are killed off by _____. Funny there was a trailer for a movie just like that in the previews.

Can't really talk to much about it with out giving anything away but I think you'll like it.

Its a horror parody with legitimate scares and a great story as to why it is a parody. Only movie I've seen that manages to be a parody and a great movie at the same time.

Not too many of those around. Parodies get really stupid after awhile. Although, I still enjoy Scary movie 2. Still laugh my ass off when the pot plant rolls him up and smokes him. Good shit.

I think I wouldnt mind seeing this movie, prob get it when it comes out on DVD.

One thing to say try to know little to nothing about the movie. It just makes the movie so much better.

When someone saids, Parody, I dont think they are talking about the same kind of Parody like the Scary Movie(s)

Sure, they made fun of other horror movies or the genre in general. But, it wasn't in the same HAHA style like SM, and the comedy wasn't like stupid movies either. It had some funny elements to the movie, but it was creative and still enjoyable.

Also and I don't want to give anything away but. Those who haven't watched it yet, keep your eyes open during or near the end. As there are some horror cameo's in there.

I saw it last night. Definitely worth your money. There were legitimate plot twists that I didn't see coming (though that could be because I was high) and there were a ton of funny lines throughout.

Apart from one major plothole that I discussed with a friend afterward, it's a solid film. Go see it.
