The Visits System- Mods, please read!

I've complained about the "visits system" on multiple occasions-
I noticed my visits count stayed very low even though I was reading and posting on MKO pretty much every day since December.
My Visits never reflected that- the count stayed below 30 until very recently.
When I came to stay with my dad and logged in from his (Windows XP, Explorer only) computer, my visits go up by one every time I post or edit.
I get the feeling this is how the visits thing is *supposed* to work-
why doesn't it work like that from my Mac (Snow Leopard, Safari)?
I feel like I've been cheated out of *hundreds* of visits because of this.
I know they "don't matter", but I'd like my visit count to reflect my activity accurately.
Is that asking for too much?
Is Explorer the only visit-friendly browser?

I've had the same issue with the visits system. I've been a member since the very first trailer for MK2011 was released last year and have been visiting and posting regularly yet my visits count was "0" for so long.
I've recently figured out why. I usually have a habit of logging off after I'm done posting (not just here, but everywhere else as well). However, a few times I forgot to log off and then one time I realized that after I forgot to log off my visits count has increased. Since then, I've stopped logging off from this site and my visits count has been going up regularly (well, kinda regularly lol).
So, are you logging off? If you are, that's probably the reason.
I like logging off, but then again, I was really fed up with being a regular poster for over a year only to have 4 visits registered. For instance, one of my fave members, KITANA, joined after me (she joined when retro skin for Kitana was announced) and she already has 2000+ visits or so. I, on the other hand, who joined around the time the MK2011 debut trailer got released have 30-something visits.

What exactly is the issue? Why should you care about the number of visits your profile displays...? Really, who cares?
This would also probably be best settled if you sent the mods a message rather than opening a thread.

The visit counter has a time requirement. If you come to the site 10 times in quick succession that won't count for more than one visit. I'm not sure the actual time it takes between visits for the counter to increase but I think it's something like 5-10 minutes.
