I'm not a huge fantasy genre guy as I've gotten older but I'm finally now listening to the audio books of the end of the series and it's renewing my interest. I'm not sure if many(or any) of you know about this monster of a book series that spawned across 14 total books over 23 years with it's author Robert Jordan actually dying from illness before it was completed. Fortunately the author anticipated this enough and established another author to finish the last 3 books based off of private convo, notes, and the input of the deceased author's widow.

Here's a video that describes the story without spoiling the shit out of it. It's fan made though so...it's kinda corny.

Anyhow, the point of this thread is to discuss whether or not you think this series will ever successfully spill over into a new modern media. It's been attempted/optioned to be adapted into various incarnations across the series history only never to see the light of day other than fan-made things or one crappy PC game in 1999, oh and a comic of the first book of the series "The Eye of the World".

So, those fans of the WoT series, what would you like to see as 'next' in the evolution of the series?
