Went to see the midnight release and I thought it was greatly better than the second. Some of my friends might disagree with that but I call bullshit.

I greatly recommend anyone to go see it, there's moments that it will catch you off guard and such.

And by the way, Loki is my favorite, better than Thor... That or it might just be the huge man crush I have of Tom Hiddleston.

I'll talk more about particular scenes another time, but still, I'd go see it again. There are two other endings at the credits, the first one is worth watching, the second one... ehh... I thought they should have flip flopped them, have the first one be something that is worth waiting for.

I'll probably be seeing it in the next week or so. I'm just waiting for some friends to get back from a trip to figure out when we all have time to go see it.

Does it do a better job of setting up following movies in the marvel universe? I thought Ironman 3 was a letdown for teasing other marvel movies.

Just went and saw it. I have to say that I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm unsure as to which Thor movie I prefer, however I definitely like the tone of this movie more. The setting and form the final battle took place, I thought, was an interesting choice. (I remember musing in my head that The Doctor should intervene; then I remembered that Thor was fighting The Doctor).

I'm actually a little annoyed that it currently has a lower score than Iron Man 2 on Rotten Tomatoes, but it's still wildly in flux review-wise.

Was great much better then the 1st film. Was more story driven and the effects were nice.

I have a question though.

The Collector is an old Avengers villain tangled up in all manner of cosmic wackiness. He's an Elder of the Universe and a rival of Thanos. The scene is a forebear to the coming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Well it seems to also be a foreshadowing the eventual Infinity Gauntlet story line that we might get in Avengers 3. He did mention the Infinity Gems, and said "1 down, 5 to go/"

You're right smoke, 6 Infinity Gems to make up the Infinity Gauntlet. However I'm not sure what to think of the Infinity Gauntlet because, you can see a glimpse of what appears to be the Infinity Gauntlet in the 2011 Thor movie. Like you said, hopefully we'll see it in Avengers 3 since they're focusing on Ultron instead in this movie.

I'm only going to say this: I FUCKING love Loki.

Why?

He basically owned this movie. Thor got his butt kicked plenty of times, and I wasn't the only one that thought that Thor was getting is butt handed to him more times than any other character in this movie. Loki... Tom Hiddleston does a SPECTACULAR job giving life to this guy. He's just... gah it's so hard to explain because he's like hot but you don't want to like him but then again he does badass stuff so you do like him, but you remember that he's the bad guy in a way.

Also, did anyone like this movie? I got two friends that said this movie was shit.

I finally got to see the movie last night in 3d. I really enjoyed it. It was much better than the original. I really liked how they showed more of the other realms and of Asgard.

There was some great humor in the movie too. Chris Evans cameo was cool as well as the part with Erik Selvig and Thor in the apartment scene.

I liked the movie just fine. I mean it's a Marvel Thor movie so it's not like I went in with over the top expectations. I like that it doesn't take itself too serious with it's quirky comedic beats along with the huge spectacle sci-fi/fantasy cgi action. Also I agree the way Tom Hiddleston is playing Loki is fantastic.
