iv'e been hearing on several gaming websites that the next x-box won't have a disc tray so that means posibly only downloadable games. i hope it doesn't become to actually happen. hopefully ps4 doesn't do the same.
i like my disc but if they get rid of discs people lose jobs, and companies go out of business.
also there talk about next gen consoles not being able to play your games at another persons house. using codes and such to restrict consumers.
what's your thoughts on next gen consoles. if this stuff does happen i'm sticking with my pc and my current consoles.

This would be fantastic if true. Discs and disc drives make the consoles bigger, louder, and slower than they should be. Also, discs are fragile, and they're a pain in the ass to swap out all the time.
Ideally I'd like to see games be downloadable onto a massive SSD, but for there to also be an option to buy them on USB sticks. MUCH faster, smaller, more robust, silent, and you could have like eight of them plugged in at once. Really, I just hate load times and I'll support anything that makes games boot faster. It won't happen, though, it'd be too expensive.

The whole no disk tray thing is to stab used games in the heart.
Developers don't seem to understand that many many people buy they're NEW games with money they got from trading in there old games.
Another thing, why are digital games so expensive? I bought Infamous 2 (best game I've played in a while btw) brand new last week for £20 and got a voucher for 50% off the original Infamous from PSN.
So I checked it out and the original Infamous is £22, £2 more expensive than I paid for its sequel and Infamous 2 was £50!!! 50 fucking pound!
