Looks so good. I hope the gameplay is promising.

I know the game is still pretty early in development but I am dying for some gameplay footage.

I'm SO happy Lara looks like a human being finally and not some odd caricatures of one.

It's the same reason I'm still upset Dead or Alive has it's adult doll faces for its girls; Lara was stuck with that archaic look for so long in the face; it was just uncanny for me.

But this? Great.

Not sure on her voice acting this time. Need to hear more.

Yeah, Lara is actually extremely beautiful in this game and I think a lot more so than previous games by far. Not only that but she does it while wearing functional clothing! Insane. NRS, learn from this.

I'm super pumped for this game.

I like her voice a bit more in this one. It reminds me of the voice actresses for the 1st game and AoD...she just sounds more authentically British. I know Keeley Hawes is, but it sounded like she was doing it 'Americanized.'

Still not sold on the reboot but I'm looking forward to this. I just wish they'd focus less on Lara and more on the gameplay. Lara was never the root of Tomb Raider's problems. Awful gameplay was.

I was never a Tomb Raider fan and I doubt I ever will, but damn was that impressive.

Loved it but cant help thinking they should be making a new franchise really.

I'm a HUGE Tomb Raider fan and I loved the trailer but I was REALLY turned off by the Autumn 2012 date.

Why announce it so early. It's soul destroying to know that in a year there will still be around 5 months to go.

When it comes out it will be 4 years since the last TR game (Underworld), the longest gap between TR games ever!

I'm sure with that time they will make an incredible game.
If it isn't amazing then I will have to rethink my dedication to a series that made me wait 4 years for a sub par game.

^ Absolutely, if this installment doesn't bring it, then I might have to wash my hands of the franchise. I grew up with it, and toiled through AoD and Legend...but Anniversary and Underworld weren't enough to redeem the franchise imo.


I really hope they use this next year+ to make an outstanding game.

Some Gameplay! I am still not entirely sold on it, it still looks kind of clunky but the atmosphere seems really amazing. This is from the E3 event:

The atmosphere looks great, very intense and I'm delighted that TR is finally being made for a mature audience but god Lara's cries are awfully annoying. I also don't like the idea of everything you need to escape being illuminated if you want. L/A/U were all painfully easy games - hopefully this is more challenging. And I hope Lara becomes the character I once loved by the end of the game.

After 3 fanservice and Lara's general uncanny valley look ruined everything, nearly as bad as the Sonic series.



Which needs to be put out of it's misery. Fast. Without regret, remorse, pity or without an atom of mercy.


Let's see what they make of this. The core innovations of the first TR are so core concept elements now, that they hardly can rely on those alone.

I haven't been very active on MKO for a while and I plan to be soon but for the moment I just had to share this cause I'm so thrilled. I was asked by Crystal Dyanmics, the studio that makes Tomb Raider to illustrate the new Lara for Tomb Raider's 15th Anniversary. So I was one of 9 fan artists asked by the studio which was a great honour. Still not entirely sure how I feel about the new TR but when the makers ask you, you can't really say no. And I think it all went well.
