Where was Autobot HQ or the Ark in the original cartoon series located? I tried googling it, but I'm getting Oregon and Arizona. The cartoon looks like Arizona, but there are so few volcanoes in that state as compared to Oregon. Plus there's a few Oregon volcanoes that according to their pics look kinda like the volcano (St. Hilary?) that the Ark crashed in to.
I know its just an old cartoon and the 'facts' are always adjustable due to this, but I'm trying to finish up one of my old fan fictions and am trying to keep to the old series as close as I can and this would be a big help. So if its either/or, then which do you think would more people would believe to be the accurate location?

I don't think it was ever officially established but according to the Transformers wiki they "crash-landed in what would become the north-western United States".

They pretty much crash landed into a mountain in the middle of nowhere and set up base from there.
The Decepticons crashed into the ocean if anyone is interested.

And just for the record, the cartoon has always had screwed up "facts". Remember, the Constructicons were created on Earth, yet they somehow existed on ancient Cybertron as well.

Where they (or a team that looked exactly like them) created Megatron.
Who created them on Earth.
Despite the fact that he converted them using the Robo-Smasher millions of years ago and had them destroy Crystal city.
So awesome.

I think the most hilarious part is the G1 fans who complain about how cheesy, over-the-top, and silly the Michael Bay TF films are. If you remove the sex/dick/fart jokes, you have a high-budget G1 episode.
Kind of ironic when you think about it. You can't tell me with a straight face that episodes like "Carnage in C Minor" and "Kremzeek" are good, unless you're a damn good liar, or an idiot.

I've got nothing against the Bayfilms at large, but ROTF was some good ol' garbage, tell ya whut.
Just remembered that scene in one of the first Season episodes where Shockwave was on Earth in the background of one scene for no particular reason.

This is why ROTF was a "hurry the hell up cram this in and get this going throw this out make it work it finish it wrap it" film.
