I didn't buy the first one despite loving the characters. mainly because I thought this would happen. since I got screwed over on street fight 4, I'll buy this one instead of the first.

Longer answer: because he's a badass that lead a war against a universe-destroying horde of death and destruction while the heroes of earth were having a hissy-fit at each other during Civil War, became a one-man army of cosmic power that helped unify and unite enemies and allies together to fight off Annihilus and his hordes, and when all hope seemed lost, beat the crap out of Annihilus in hand-to-hand combat and nearly single-handedly saved all of existence from being wiped out. Then he went on to star in one of the most fan-loved and critically acclaimed cosmic-centered solo comics of all time.

For a character that started as a whiny little C-lister punk, Nova's catapulted into the stratosphere as a triple-A hero that can stand toe-to-toe alongside the greatest heroes Marvel has to offer. And has done so. Repeatedly.

Well, I sure am glad I didn't buy the DLC.

Or kept the game for long enough to actually consider it.

Yeah, this is the easiest "don't buy new" game I've ever had.

Capcom's been on a roll of insanely bad decisions. I find it hilarious they have a Mega Man Legends stage added to the game... but no Mega Man himself, not after two iterations of this game. That's pretty insulting to Mega Man fans.

The original game was, let's face it, a $60-70 demo that had an anemic cast missing the characters people wanted, almost no features worth remembering, and not even the decency of a spectator mode.

Less than 6 months later, miraculously, the cast grows by a third and all the missing features appear. Tell me they didn't cut these out knowingly and save them for a new version of the game. The fact that the original game is obsolete after only a few MONTHS is really vexing.

You could say "you should expect that: it's Capcom", and Street Fighter did get upgraded... but it took over a year and the original game was already feature-rich and packed full of content.

I rag on Mortal Kombat from time to time, but they at least have supported one version of the game, improvement and augmenting it with patches, costumes, and characters, making an already feature-filled and content-rich game bloated with quality months after its debut.

And I'm grateful for that. They could have done what Capcom's doing, releasing a bare-bones game missing basic features and content, charging people money for simple things like on-disc characters and versus CPU data, and then throwing the whole game out and releasing a "better" version no less than 6 months later, without making any effort to make it compatible with the prior version or to provide the additional features as DLC to those that have already invested almost $100 into the original game.

Capcom... screw you and your scheming, greedy, money-grubbing, fan-hating business practices.

... Well, at least they can't whore out Mega Man Legends 3... because they KILLED it. Ugh.

Didn't buy the first MVC3 as i keep myself informed on videogame happenings and i'm well aware of capcom and their fighting game division being greedy. ill pick this one up. Glad to see others saw this coming and didnt throw their money at capcom for the beta test.

That stage was there six months before Legends was even announced--It just has snow on it now.

I heard X-factor only boosts damage on supers, so that's cool. I still think the game is probably gonna be ass, though.
