OVERRATED
American Idol - It stopped being a decent show after the fourth season. Seriously, who even remembers the winners on these shows? I bet everyone knows who Jennifer Hudson and Adam Lambert are, though. lol

The X Factor - Just like American Idol, the show is about the judges, not the contestants. It's all bullshit.

The Voice - see The X Factor

The Bachelor/ette - If you want to find love, go on a fucking date, not a television show.

The Real Houswives - As a guy, I feel those shows are a huge insult to housewives all across the United States. I actually have a lot of respect for real housewives, because what they do isn't easy. The same goes for stay-at-home dads.

Supernatural - It's just two hot guys being hot. Plus, it's like the writers of that show don't do any real research on the supernatural stuff they put into each episode.

The Vampire Diaries - Ever since Anne Rice wrote The Vampire Chronicles, everybody wants to have sexy vampires. Cut it out! You're making her look bad.

Any original show on MTV or VH1 - Where's the fucking music?

UNDERRATED
Bob's Burgers - At first I thought this show would suck major balls, but I find myself laughing hard every episode. This show is golden, man.

MisFits - Even though the show started to get a little crappy with the fourth season (all the good characters keep dying!), the show is still amazing and it's a shame it can only be watched online in the U.S.

American Dad - This show is to Family Guy what Tails is to Sonic, and it's just sad. American Dad has much better writing than Family Guy and a lot more laughs, too. If any of Seth MacFarlane's shows should truly prosper, it should be this one.

Hey! I love that you love American Dad! I don't watch TV so i buy the DVDs instead and it never gets old. I like it more than Family Guy, it appeals to my political side. but FG still rocks.

I gotta say, i totally disagree with you about Supernatural, though. My friend lent me the first 2 seasons and i was amazed that something so dark could be shown on US TV where everything's so... 'fakey' and saccharine.

The show is dark because it misrepresents historical items, such as the pentagram.

Many of the things found in the show, like the pentagram, voodoo, and luck coins, have nothing to do with evil. Major misconceptions - and slander - led to the beliefs that they do.


And yes, American Dad is the shit.

Overrated: The Walking Dead

Not to say it's a bad show. It's one of my favorites at the moment along with Regular Show. Yeah what up?

Underrated: Arrow

I'm still trying to get some people I know to watch, but they just don't do it. Makes me sad :(

Overrated: Breaking Bad, American Idol

Underrated: Switched at Birth. SVU

Overrated: The Walking Dead

Was expecting much better. Didn't live up to the hype imo but I do like it.

I don't know about the last few season, because I haven't been keeping up with it, but the early seasons were pretty good. They also added some humor into the episode, which I thought it was brilliant.

I second Misfits. Seasons 1-3 are hilarious.

4 Is good too but doesnt have the same magic, probably due to the cast changes.

UNderrated: Freeks and Geeks
Honestly one of the better high school type shows, one that you can actually relate to and doesn't show the typical high school kids portrayal, and also features great cast. Such a shame it never got another season.

As for breaking bad being overrated, its really popular and all but i believe it lives up to all its critical acclaim and hype, one of the better shows of this decade.

Also on The Boondocks, I wouldn't say its underrated, its has quite a large fanbase, that's the only reason its still going. Originally it wasn't expected it would even get that popular.

And the walking dead, lets just say it comes no where near the comics, still a good show though, however not amazing.

Regular Show: Of cartoon network's newer series, this is by far my favorite. It may be totally supid and random, but it's funny and is actually written good for the stupidity they put into it. If you make your stupidity make sense, it becomes awesomeness.

TNA Wrestling; It has good writing, but is almost fully shadowed by WWE programs.


Yu-Gi-Oh 5 D's; It's plot actually makes sense, especially compared to Zexal. Speaking of Z...

Over;

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal; A bad way of showing a fun game and series to the next generation is through this show. A eneric clumsy oaf becomes generic hero due to generic reasons, and has a generic storyline.

The Walking Dead; It's everywhere, the walking Dead is good, but it got milked dry.

Spongebob; Okay, it's sad when people in my class (I'm a Freshman in High School) still watch a show that came out 15 years ago. Let it go, i's not mature for you. it' even sadder when some Seniors watch it.

And lasly,
Jersey shore/ Buckwild/ anything left on MTV. Why is it still called MTV, which stood for (if I remember right) M.usic T.eleV.ision? When I watch Jersey Shore, all I see is a short little girl with spray on tan ride an idiot, also spraytanned, in an orange jacuzi. MTV, where's are good ol' music videos?

Family Guy?

Some people enjoy nautical nonsense. I used to as well, but not much anymore. Still, just because a show came out over a decade ago and is intended for less mature audiences, does not mean older people cannot enjoy it.
