Waxing really hurts...never waxed my legs before, but when I had my eyebrows waxed once, the lady tore a huge chunk of skin off from under my eyebrow....
Hurt like a bitch, and took a few months to heal completely.

On a semi shave/wax related note. Is there a SAFE way to remove hair from a man's sensitive parts?
I want a woman who likes to go downtown without getting extra floss if you know what I mean.

The only thing I can suggest is veet cream for sensitive skin. But here's the catch...
I used that down there to get a certain look for Gay Pride this year, I needed my legs, armpits and crotch area smooth as a baby to cosplay as Mileena. As you can see, it works.

HOWEVER, Veet cream is primarily intended for just armpit or leg hair. Using it on the Nether Region can be a little bit painful if you dont apply it correctly. Normally it suggests using the cream for 4minutes on leg hair, but since Pubic hair is more resilient, you need to keep it on a bit longer. I'd reccomend 6-8minutes (approx, make sure you time yourself!) and only apply it on to the hair after you've trimmed your pubes first, otherwise you'll be waiting forever.
The Veet *should* remove the hair when you use the plastic handle to rub it off, but there may be hairs left that the cream didn't reach. For that, just run a bath, lie down in the water and shave in an upwards motion slowly (be sure to stretch the skin to avoid cutting yourself). Since the skin down there is quite sensitive just be sure to have some Sudocream in stock before doing any of this as leaving the cream on for too long can cause slight chemical burns (which has happened with me before, and Sudocream sorts that out in the space of 24hrs.)

well if it misses any hairs I think I'm still going to play it safe and not have a razor down there, just the thought is cringe worthy.
The only thing I ever got waxed are my eyebrows and that hurts.
If you want to get your hair off your legs with no pain, either shave em or find some cream that actually plucks the hair off just by leaving it on there.
Though if you do that cream, you're legs are going to itch like crazy and the odor of it isn't really pleasing.

An electric razor is fine (like the one you'd shave your head with) so long as you dont (A) use it in water, or (B) dont go near your balls with it. The veet should remove the hair on the testicles no problem but if it's the actual pubic line your worried about I'd go with the veet first then an electric razor. It's honestly not that bad :)

I manscape when I get bored (seriously). I usually just use a trimmer, but I shaved with a razor once, using regular shaving cream (it actually said "facial" shaving cream) and it was fine. I couldn't get every single hair (pretty sure you have to wax to do that), but it was good enough. I didn't knick myself or anything. I actually feel trimming works better though.

Before divisions for swimming, I would shave my entire body to get an extra boost in speed. In my junior year it took SO LONG. At least 3 and a half hours!
It took long because I just went right at it and shaved with my hair at full length, I should have trimmed first and THEN shaved so that less hair would be caught and less time would have to be spent rinsing the razor.
ANYWAY...
My senior year I was at a convenience store and I ran into my female friend. Holding the hair wax, I explained to her that I intended to wax my entire body to save me time.
Her response: She froze and stared at me wide-eyed. She grabbed my arm, took the waxing product out of my hand and placed it to the shelf next to us. She told me to never EVER wax. EVER! She looked absolutely traumatized, it was hilarious!
So she saved me that day. I ended up doing what I realized I should have done the previous year. trimmed, then shaved, and it went by much MUCH quicker.
This whole experience gave me an appreciation for what women go through for (straight) guys. That whole week I was so uncomfortable. My cody always felt wet underneath my clothes and I hate that feeling. And the stubble was a nightmare. anytime I got the chills, the barely-grown-in hairs would stand up and pierce my skin. And it kept on happening! For the next month I had redness on my thighs from that.
But yeah. I'm done swimming, and I'm done shaving. So that's my story.

I've only had my eyebrows waxed. Once I had them threaded. I think it should be outlawed as a form of torture.

I waxed my legs 2 years ago for Halloween when I was a prostitute (pics are somewhere in the shuffle on the Show Your Face thread, and for those of you that have my facebook), it hurt like hell. My old roomate helped me out with it because she had her legs waxed often. I tried Nair the next year when I was Richard Simmons but it kind of burned and it smelled like shit. Point is, I'm glad I'm not a woman.
