I was wrong, I just tested it and I'm wrong.

It's how many times you visit the site. Like, I'm on the site. I have 1 visit like a noob. Then I leave the site for about 5-10 minutes, and I come back. I now have 2 visits. You can't just leave and come back immediately, it has a timer.

That's right but just to add, it gets confusing for people when they are responding - then they post and see their visit counter has gone up.

When u creating/repling to a thread, or are writing a pm, and it takes a while, the site will add a visit on, if it hasnt registered u when it reboots every 5 to 10 mins. When your browising the forums u are registered, but replying/creating threads you're not I think.
So u never exited the site, u were just writing a long message, but your visit counter had increased.

I think this confuses people making them think it is not just a visit counter, but a post counter as well...

Maybe a mod can explain it better
