Ah! I know this one. It's called "Hurt". It's a great song. Here's the vid.

It was actually a Nine Inch Nails cover though.

It still strikes me odd....I can't see anything in common with Trent Reznor and The Man In Black.

Well, It's Trent Renzor's favorite song, also Johnny Cash's before he died(also one of the few videos he liked shotting) and mine.
When Trent signs it, it speaks about his addiction and the people around him, when Johnny Cash first heard it, he thought it was the best anti-drug song ever and he immediatly wanted to cover it. There is a difference though, when he sang it he also sang it with regret of the time he didn't give to his offspring...

I recommend first listening to Johnny Cash's version, it's easier of access to people, if you like eadgier songs, then Nine Inch Nails is perfect. Both videos are of course, tear inducing... specially when you are able to follow the lyrics...

Did I say it was my favorite song?grin

Yeah Johnny Cash's "hurt" is also played on the season premier of "The Shield" commercial.

In my opinion, the Nine Inch Nails version is better.

While I won't deny that it sets the mood PERFECTLY during Eddie's tribute video, I personally believe that cover is among the worst covers I have ever heard and ruins the "legacy" of one of my all-time favorite songs.

Dude! WTF are you saying? Just to tell you, Johnny Cash made it from NINE INCH NAILS' version, not the other way aroung. Johnny Cash's version is not better or worse that Nine Inch Nails', it is more public oriented.
