I have 3 connection speeds depending on where I am.
I normally access the net from my primary work location, that is a 1.5mb ADSL link
Sometimes I am at a secondary work location which is a 512k SHDSL connection.
If I log on at home (which isn't very often), I only have a 56k dial-up. The reason for that is because i work 8+ hours on a computer and don't want to touch one when i'm out of the office.
What is everyone else's net connection speed?
I'm guessing alot of people either have a slow dial-up connection or are using it at work because it seems quite a few people can't download the new video's online when they come out for MK, or any other video for that matter, maybe because it's too slow or blocked in the firewall?

I've got DSL...so, will I have to get one of those adapter things for the PS2, to play Decepion? And is there a damned subscription fee? I dunno if i will be able to afford playing online...Especially for a while because im buying GTA San Andreas the same week as Deception and that will suck up whatever money i have

What is the average cost of broadband in your locations?
Here in Australia I will use iinet as my example of costs as it is quite competitive and one of the largest ISP's in the country.
256k / unlimited download = $59.95/mth
512k / unlimited download = $79.95/mth
1.5m / 24gb/48gb/72gb = $89/$109/$149

11 Mbps at home
And the T-1 at school has been treating me quite nicely lately (summer, barely anyone is on it ^_^)
I was dling Firefox one day and it went up to 4MB/s dl. It took one second to dl a whole browser. And videos are nothing on it!!
But, in the Fall, it won't be so great. :( Everyone and their cousin will be raping that beautiful connection =`(

Lowly 56k. But I plan on getting DSL in the next few months.
Right now I'm using 56K modem. I did have DSL (I still have to box and everything if I want to hook it back up, all I have to do is give the phone company a ring.) I got rid of it because it was eatting a hole in my wallet (I volunteered to pay for it, because I wanted it so bad. I came to realize there were way better things I wanted at the sametime.
)
I might get it back sooner or later.

Is this wireless? Does it have many dropouts? It's still reasonably new in technology to rollout wholesale.

36kbps unfortunately.
aka Dialup Hell.
I *used* to have a beautiful cable connection until I had to move, and to add insult to injury, I'm only a bloody 5 minute drive from where the last person on my road has access to it. *grr*
