No official "release date", but id's CEO has announced that it will be released this summer, *before the last month of it "August"*. There was a very slim chance that it would go GOLD on June 15, but I guess not Well it's got to go "GOLD" before they want to release, what the hell does "go Gold" mean anyways!? The game is finished they just "have" to have their liitle "GOLD" title...

In the gaming business, 'go gold' means that they have a final copy that is out of the beta and all other testing phases. It is the final version. Gold masters are the nicknames for the first master prints of the discs. So when they go gold, they have the final masters ready.

Shellshock looks pretty damn sweet, I think you can shoot peoples heads off and it looks really real.

I'd go with Shellshock Nam.

Pre-Ordering doesn't make sense. Even Halo 2 will have HUNDREDS of copies that aren't pre-ordered.

The only reason I see someone pre-ordering a game is if like they gave out a T-Shirt or some bullshit like that.
