All the networks now are creating very dumb ideas involving reality shows. Im sure many of us thought when the first Survivor came out, that this was a cool new idea but, now all these new shows are getting way out of hand. In my opinion, the only good reality shows were The Joe Schmoe Show and The Apprentice. What do all of you think?

I agree, reality shows are just plain stupid and pointless. Its just another example of how the media is running out of ways to entertain us.

I'm pretty sure Joe Schmo is scripted...
I think my IQ goes down several points after I watch reality TV.
It's a stupid corporate pathetic idea. Bigshot producers get people they don't have to pay to be on shows with stupid concepts so they can do stupid, demeaning, unproductive, unfunny things to compete for a cash prize they might not win.
And you know the sad thing? That right there sounds like the description to a reality show.
As the Great Jimmy Kimmel said, "More people are on reality TV shows than actually live in reality."

I'd take it a step or two further. I'd have all of those slick producers who concieve of these stupid reality shows guillotined in public so no other produces are encouraged to follow suit.
I'd think that'd be a rational solution.

I hate reality TV... For starters, calling it "reality TV" is a joke and a half. People act differently when they have camera's on them all the time, so it already isn't "reality".
And besides that, why the hell would I want to see a bunch of people living in a house for 3-4 months? I see that every day of the week, why would I want to watch it on TV?

Hey, Forevergery, have you seen the new reality show on ten, "there's something about Mirium?" That's pretty twisted. I'd hate to be one of those guys.
For everyone else who doesnt know, its like the Bachelorette, except what they don't get married or nothing, and what the contestants don't know is that the girl is secretly a man.
eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww...........

Haha, yeah mate, I've seen the adds for that. Funnily enough when they were running the teaser adds for it saying "She's beautiful, she's sexy", I popped up and said "She's a man!", and while I was just trying to be funny it turned out I was right when they went on to say "she's a he"
Cracked my mates up that one. And I might be forced to take back what I said about reality TV, that show is so horribly cruel and wrong for the guys involved that I might actually watch it. Watching straight guys frothing at the mouth over a transvestite is funny as.
