New kharacters, new story, stages, finishing moves,etc... I love MK but we always get a big gap now in between new games. I do enjoy injustice, but id like to see Boon come up with a completely new franchise, thoughts?

Id like to see NRS get the opportunity to make a new Primal Rage game. If a new one were to be made, it would almost be insane to not have NRS make it.

Who exactly is NRS? and YES I would like to see an all new franchise. If it wasn't for the first Mortal Kombat, we obviously wouldn't have our favorites BUT this MK thing needs a new start. We had Mortal Kombat:Armageddon and MK:9 so that this franchise could start completely new. All new characters!
Let's see what Boon and the team are made of without scorpion sub zero Raiden, lui Lang, ETC. Or is that even a possibility??

This.
Although I don't think WB owns the rights to Primal Rage

Yeah im not sure, but its a shame nobody is doing anything with that title. I think a new one by NRS would work, it might not go to EVO but I think people would play it.
You have the people that played it back in the day that would more than likely buy it, people that will buy it because it would be "from the makers of Mortal Kombat" (The NRS stamp of approval was why I bought Injustice day1 lol) and then you have all the kids and bro-dudes that would want to watch giant dinos and apes fight lol BTW did you see all of the Primal Rage 2 footage? That shit should have been released lol it looks so good to me.

I think Injustice is the thing from NRS that's similar to MK.
As i stated in another thread, there was the 'spin off' if you like by Tobias called Tao Feng. It sadly didn't do that well financially, even though it was a really good little fighter with oodles of story and background, with graphics that mimicked MKDA's quality. (They came out at roughly the same time). The only reason i bring it up, is because if there ever was a 'new' franchise, i think it might end up the same way.

I would be happy if they made War Gods 2. With the graphics they got now man this game would be amazing.

I've said it before, but I'd LOVE to see NRS bring back Mace: The Dark Age.
I believe this was a Midway property, though I think Atari had something to do with it. There was a great story premise, cool characters, a unique setting (as far as fighters go) and it has a "darkness" to it (pardon the pun) that many MK fans that don't remember this arcade / N64 title could be interested in.
Plus, in addition to all of that potential, this could be NRS' 3D fighter to go along with the two 2D fighters they have. I think they had some great ideas in the 3D era, but this would provide a new starting point and a new template to go in a different direction.
I think it's almost too perfect.

I seem to recall a thread on that topic sometime back, was that yours?
I'd love for that too but the licensing would be insane. I was going to write this thing about a Universal Monsters game, and blah blah blah, but I found out that Warner Bros. handled US distribution on the Hammer horror films, which creates an interesting relationship there. Imagine kicking ass as Christopher Lee Dracula against Christopher Lee Frankenstein's Monster, or Peter Cushing Van Helsing against Peter Cushing Victor Frankenstein.

Time Warner Interactive was the original publisher of Primal Rage. They may still hold the rights. I would love to see an HD remake.

id like to see the return of
Wargods
Mace The Darkage
Biofreaks
All 3 of these titles return since there were midway fighting games. I'm sure WB prob got the rights to them. With todays graphics these games would look brutal.

No sir, I recall the thread. I believe I contributed to it. Its always been a dream though.
Licensing would indeed be a massive hurdle. My feeling is, if there's a good place to start, its a warner bros. studio. They've got New Line under their belt(they were pretty much built on horror movies in the 80'). They could put out a game, much the same way Microsoft did with Killer Instinct. Use a few in house characters, build the brand, and if there's interest, hopefully other studios would be willing to be a part of it.

I want Deathstroke to have a game that rivals Deadpool's own game. NRS could handle the close combat and ranged weapons at his disposal. Throw in some sniping missions and I would be buying it in an instant.
I'd rather have them make something that isn't a fighting game just to see if they can do it.
I feel they can do a good RPG if they really put their minds into it.
But other than that, I don't want to see another fighting game series from them. Two is enough.

Dude, fuck yes. I have tons of ideas for a large-scale game of that nature (more so in classes than anything else) and would love to see them really do it justice, unlike that limited PC-only remake.
