I won't say it, but why is it impossible that someone here would be that moved by these terrible acts?

Anyways, getting back to the point, yeah, what happened truly was shocking. I normally go to sleep between 2-4 a.m. On my cable, we get 2 Spanish TV stations, and I was watching the coverage some 15 minutes after the events.

The one thing I've never gotten (nor will I ever get) is how the people behind these acts legitimately believe that terrorist acts like these will actually make a difference in their "cause."

OMG... this is terrorism...? I come from a place where the word has gone well beyond that meaning where people are now acustomed to the fact that people are dying daily... The towers beign attacked? the supposed 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'? these acts happen so sparingly that the 'patriots' of this 'Union' have long since removed the flags from their vehicles...

More fights have errupted from ppl not understanding others. Sometimes we define words differently than others. A good quality to have would be to look past this...

For those who don't know what ETA is, it's kind of like rhe IRA, but they want the sepparation of the Vasco region...
This is ridiculous... if someone wanted rto stop them they probably could... but it's WAY to convenient... now Bush will be re-elected 'cause people is affraid... and he'll keep the troops in Iraq and keep looking for oil and place another Husain in the power...

Do you think ETA is capable of such a act? I know of the bombing of the supermarket years back, but don't they first warn the media that an act is going to take place first? Do you think it is possible that some splintered faction of the ETA carried out the train bombing?

Well... maybe it's not G.W.... but there IS something fishy!!! NY near the twin towers is a non-flying zone!!! it alwyas was.... and a passager plane got through?!?!?! and the pentagon?!?!? That must SURELY have some defences from aereal attack!

plus... it was all too convenient... bush planned to get OIL and invade Iraq even before 9/11.... and then MAGIC and coincidence... an arab attack!

It would make sence since the towers were destroyed, yet an federally important building like the Pentagon or ANYTHING in washington was left relatively unharmed.

The idea that W and co. were behind 9/11 has crossed my mind too, but I sincerely doubt it. However, they may have known that such an attack was likely to occur, and decided to let it happen because it would allow them to exploit their power beyond their normal means, and further their agenda.

And tomorrow Asscroft will be knocking on my door with a warrant for my arrest for suspicion of being a terrorist, and I'll be all like, What happened to the first amendment? And he'll be all like, Doesn't apply in times of conflict...when it's needed more than ever...

Why do you think a communist would oppose terrorism? True Communism supports the community. Terrorism works against that cause. In itself, communism is different from democracy in the distribution of wealth to everyone equally, in theory at least. When something bad happens to one person it affects everybody. National healthcare is a socialistic ideal that is a proponent in communism. Using associative property, some people are even so far as to be in favor of it.

Anywho, just to clear things up.
