posted07/15/2004 12:49 AM (UTC)byI had a horrible nightmare lastnight. It was about me and my family camping and we found this house like in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Some guy offered us to stay. My mom excepted. I was utside playing and I saw an evil looking man running after me. I ran as fast as I could because the man had a chainsaw. I ran into the house and i started to cry because i was so scared. I told my family I want to leave and my mom was thinking i was crazy. And my dad was on the backporch and i saw the man choking my dad up against the glass door and I told my mom that was him. He ran after me and my mom saw him and i ran my mom was scared stiff and couldn't move I screamed for my brother to get out and my mom was killed. Then I woke up and i couldnt breathe. How about u?
My nightmares are usually just straight up freaky instead of traditional monster chase dreams.
My worse nightmares... well, besides one I'd rather not talk about, there was a nightmare that I kept having over and over again when I was a little kid, and the other day it looked like the nightmare was going to 'happen', and it completely freaked me out.
I'm inside my bathroom, and the door is opened. I'm just standing there, doing nothing.
Suddenly, I start hearing a distant whistle. The tune is something like the old Pink Panther cartoon music, only sorta like, maybe 'played' in reversed or something.
Then I look at the door as the whistle comes closer and closer. Finally, the source of the sound appears, and it's my older brother. Except that his face is sorta like a huge balloon with his face painted on it, sorta cartoony. Since his head is a balloon, he can't whistle, but I know the sound is coming from inside of him.
As soon as I see him, I run past him to escape, knocking him down, and I race towards my mother's room... and that's it. It's always so short, but it totally freaks me out because it always feels real.

My worst nightmare always felt sooooooo real.
I had this one nightmare a few times when I was young, maybe 7-8. I don't remember much at all but here are the main parts: I was stuck in a evil looking castle, trying to escape with 3 (i think) other people. Well I got separated from them, and I turned a corner and went through a gate (like the ones on the front of medival castles, they have spikes on the bottom, and are in a tic/tac/toe design) and a big (real evil looking) gorilla chased me away from there. Then I must have turned another corner and was confronted by a huge dark purple (again evil) dragon. Somehow I was now in my living room, and I fall onto my back. He keeps crawling toward me and I keep backing up. He eventualy points a finger which turns into a long metal blade (like the Terminator in T2) and points it into my chest. I just freeze, then he goes to push it in and I wake up. I had it like 3 or 4 times, the same way every time. Kinda dumb, but it was scary as a child as I would wake up thinkin how real it seemed.
It may not sound very scary and then again it might... There's 2 of 'em. But the worst one is:
It's a peaceful sunny day and I'm at college and this one guy says, "Hey I heard this thing on the news.." so I get all interested and walk over "There's people turning into weird old beats and stuff" and imm all "man you're full of shit"
Then I go outside and these red-eyed furry werewolf looking things are killing everyone and eventually i turn into one and it ends with some of "us" eating my mom and dad's bodies...
This next one I had several times and I think it meant something, I had it when I was like 10 years old or something.
I'm in my very old house and im running from this zombie looking thing, so i run to my mom and i start cowering but they dont even seem to notice, I just keep running but its like me nor the zombie exist because everyone is all doing their own thing watching tv or something... It ends with him picking my up for a split second.
Yea they seem sooo real... then you wake up and you could've sworn it just happened and that something in your room resembles something in your dream.

I don't have a worse nightmare that I remember, but I always loved the nightmares in which I died (of course, not while I was having it).
Like, driving very fast, and hitting a tree, or a wall, or falling from a 10-story building, or from a plane.
It felt so real, I used to wake up totally excited and ready for action.
I miss having those.

My nightmares were weird one day.I had 2 in one day!
1st:The 1st dream was about me fighting the agents from The Matrix. We were just standing there in a foggy building.I woke up like at 2:00AM.
2nd:I was walking over to my cousin's house. Then all of sudden this guy jumped me and had me on the ground looking up at him.Just picture this in First Person View. Then he pulled a Beretta out and before I heard the gunshot I woke up scared.
And the strange thing was that my Great Grandmother died during 2:00AM that same day I had those 2 dreams. It could have been a message who knows?
