That's an interesting theory – that Batman would be the "fool with power" this time around. I wouldn't put Superman in Liu Kang's place though. Superman is wiser than Batman anyway. They possibly cannot make Nightwing into the next Reptile. He won't probably be a grunt, nor would a disgusting, lowly depiction fit for Nightwing. I wonder if we will see origin stories for some characters a la the cyber initiative, Kabal, Mileena et cetera. Perhaps the two plots will have other similarities though.

I don't think many people would agree that Superman is "Wiser" than Batman.

For what I can tell, Supeman has an access to the Fortress of Solitude that holds vast amounts of information and he has gone through various trials and tribulations by Jor-El. Batman might be more intelligent though but I wouldn't see Superman as a sort of an apprentice of Batman in this game.

Actually i was saying it seems like Batman will be the main character,similar to Rayden(How i prefer it spelled) and That supes would more like a 2nd Main character(ala Liu Kang in mk(9) ) Trust me i don't think that in depth.But yeah, i sure hope they don't reptile nightwing

I wonder who'd they have Caged,Bladed,and Jaxed up.Really though it's interesting to think about this stuff between characters reveals(Joker and green lantern gameplay soon i hope.

If there's going to be a "right" and "wrong" side, I have a feeling we'll see Batman in the lead role on the right side.

I like Batman, but at the moment I'm a bit over saturated with all the Bat stuff so I hope he ends up on the wrong side and someone kicks his a$$. Joker's too.

Well if things end up that way,and he does get beat up,then i advocate for Nightwing to do it.

Is there going to be a single storymode? Or will it be like MKvsDC?

Most likely like MK(9) instead of MK vs DC.Unless they end up having clear cut factions,which is unlikely.
