I'd go with the GOTY edition like Detox mentioned. It was leaked months ago with no "official" annoucement and the holiday season is approaching. Also, the recent news is that it will be available for next gen consoles.

I hope when the GOTY Edition comes out, there's some kind of DLC so us poor slobs who still have the original can finally get those damned iOS-exclusive costumes and the Arrow skin and the like, and have all the same content as the "complete" edition.

That would nice, but remember they never released the extra stuff for Mortal Kombat they put solely on the Vita version, so I personally won't hold my breath. Stupid platform exclusive crap.

That's different, those costumes for Kenshi, Skarlet, and the UMK3 ninjas were never available on the consoles.

The iOS-unlocked DLC is already THERE in the game. It's just that people without an iOS device can't get it.

It'll surely be auto-unlocked in the Complete Edition, so the fair thing to do would be to finally make those costumes regular-ass "give us a couple bucks and you can have it" DLC in the normal edition.

Meh, it's the same thing to me. You need a Vita to "unlock" extra content for the same game. They could have just as easily made that DLC available for consoles after they got their desired Vita bump.

I believe they did the same thing with MK1 costumes for the ninjas didn't they? They were already on disc but you needed the voucher code(s) to unlock them. Then they were all later released as DLC anyway.

That's exactly what I want them to do with the iOS skins.

And it's different from the Kenshi/Skarlet/UMK3 alts the Vita got because those weren't on-disk in regular MK9. They're not an unlock, they were created and added post-release. (Well, most of them were. Skarlet's alt might be on-disk. I think it's unfinished and doesn't work right though.)

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. Technically speaking they are two different situations.

Just for me personally, in the spirit of things, it's the same condition: You need to have a Vita to get the extra content = You need to have an iOS device to get the extra content. In both situations you already own the game. Like you said, make it DLC for those who don't have an iOS device = make it DLC for those who don't have a Vita.

They still might release two more characters. The people picking up the Ultimate Edition during the holiday rush and people buying the PS4 version might get them to do it if they aren't already done. Or they might be PS4 exclusives.
