Now I understand why certain things in this game were done the way they are, not that I'm an expert or anything but there's just things that make no sense.
Its waaaay to over the top. The interacting with objects in the stage isn't bad at all, but there's that and there's the just insane stage transitions with are like 5 seconds, just so out there and more comedic than brutal, they are played out. What is the purpose, extremely over exaggerated and they will eventually get boring to watch, the super moves or whatever they are called too like the flash's for instance, is that really necessary, I mean this is a fighter, do those scenes really need to be in the game. I'm not sure they add anything worthwhile, just take away from the experience and make absolutely no sense at all.
Can someone explain to me just why?
Everytime I see a video of this game its ridiculous with those, Its not the actual fighting its just those insane moments that I cant see appealing to any fan of fighting games, that shits corny.

Why so serious?
Joking aside, it's just something to make the game feel less bland, like MK9 level of bland, where even the combos felt dull and repetitive.
And honestly, I don't think you're going to see them that much, as far as I know only one kind of attack triggers the transition (if I'm wrong please correct me), and supers or whatever they are called will only be used if they are really worth it and maybe once a match. If you played MK9 then you know that most X-Rays were useless, perhaps most supers will be useless too, who knows, time will tell.

Maybe you're just not cut out for stuff about superheroes? I mean...forgive me for assuming, but I take it you're not a big fan of The Flash as a character if you think you could have the game without a super move where he runs all the way around the world to punch you. That's a classic scene for him. Same for most of the supers, really.

Yeah, there's really nothing to explain.
Either you are into superheroes, or you aren't. You can say "why have all the over the top action and powers?", but that's what the comics contain. The game is just trying to give us that kind of action.
Personally, I think it all looks awesome. Each character is represented extremely well, having all their trademark abilities and personalities.

I loved the transition in wayne manner because of how ridiculous it is. Aquaman barely taps Cyborg and he goes crashing through the entire mansion. Can you imagine Harley Quinn doing that to Grundy? It's going to look so silly it'll be good

Damn bro, you drank too much the other day!
I wonder how much health those stage transitions take away. I imagine somewhere between 5-8%. Silly considering how over the top they are, but understandable.

Remember that a lot of this is going to be explained.
Remember that for all the stage transitions and super moves involving being knocked into orbit and people SURVIVE - Its all apparently going to be explained.

They are superheroes and things get destroyed when superheroes are around. Just take a look at the Justice League/Justice League Unlimited. They were constantly destroying property. Hell WW and Superman basically destroyed a mall in one episode.

'Cause what's the point of having a damn skyscraper if you can't powerbomb somebody all the way to the f'n basement?
Also, "epic", "over the top", "out there", are all phrases that have been used ad nauseum during the coverage of this game. A drawn out super move of Aquaman feeding you to a shark should not come as a shock.

Its not that I don't like that kind of stuff
Honestly I think some of them are pretty awesome, but this is a fighter and those transitions are in the actual fights and it seems dragged out. It just seems overdone, stretched out, and something that would get tedious to watch over and over again.
Because once the novelty wears off, what we want is a seamless fast paced fighting game and those hella long scenes look like they will get in the way.
I don't know maybe I'm wrong that's just something that stuck out to me. Something like that in MK would piss me off, a nice simple uppercut and bam were in the next stage got it done. I think that its being overdone in this case.

X-Rays and Fatalities, which is what the super moves are meant to replace, are about the same length.

That makes sense
though the stage transitions are too much, that's where it mostly bothers me
smashing through 50 floors bouncing off 3 buildings getting all floppy and finally landing on the stage
Maybe its supposed to be cool and epic but im not seeing it at all, they are corny, I dont see the point in making them that extravagant and flashy, trying to hard there. Simplicity would have woked better in that regard.

NRS keeps saying that they're keeping in mind the flow of gameplay when doing all these transitions/supers, so, all we can really do is trust them to keep their word until we find out otherwise. Don't have much longer now.

yea i hope they keep a nice flow, and apparently you will be able to turn alot of that bullshit off, is that true? That would be pretty nice

So far the only thing I've read that they were considering making optional are stage interactions and the wager system. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. It will be interesting to see if those transitions are optional. Considering the amount of effort put into them, I'm leaning towards the negative.

I agree with OP.
The exaggerated level transitions have been done before, this is nothing new to experience and based on those experiences, I'm sick of the fact that it's in there again! The novelty is going to wear off and it's going to get boring, especially on the wrong end of it when you're so pissed all you want to do is immediately attack your opponent right back but no, let's cue to a commercial break first.
Mortal Kombat Deception/Armageddon had the option to turn it off, let's hope the boys remember too.
I kind of agree with the supers, it's way more exaggerated than the X-Rays in Mortal Kombat, these things have a whole cinematic to them, wtf. And god forbid if you pull that off online to drain away the last bit of health on your opponent, because you're giving people just enough time to disconnect on you.
And what kills me the most is that it has a tell when you activate it, unlike a X-Ray where it's sudden. And it doesn't help that after all that flare, you can chain some of the supers into another combo.
I really want to love this game like I did with MK but everything about it is pushing me away.
Exaggerated level transitions and supers kill the fast pace of the game, and thinking about its noob friendly Marvel vs Capcom 3 A-B-C button input makes me wanna choke someone.
Seriously, the influence from MvC3 is so painfully obvious it's not even funny..
And the cheap attack interactive enviroment objects puts me unease.
If only there was an option to turn all that off.

You will be able to turn off level interactions. I don't know if this includes level transitions or not but for sure background interactions will be switchable.
