Injustice 2 Story Ideas and Characters

I was thinking today about what would make for a good follow-up game to this one.

I think that the game would have to take place in the alternate reality. That's where all the damage was done and were heroes lives were changed. Characters like Shazam and Lex Luthor were killed as well.

Batman works to rebuild his world with the wealth that Lex Luthor left behind. Superman is behind bars as well as Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman and the others. Batman's list of allies is thin. Some of them return to crime (Deathstroke) and some of them become forces for good (Harley Quinn.) Catwoman tries resurrect her relationship with Batman, while he forms a new "Justice League" with the help of Martian Manhunter, consisting of characters like John Stewart, Red Robin, Huntress, Black Canary, Supergirl (these are up for anyone's opinion.) Batman and Martian Manhunter work to rebuild the Watchtower. These are also the two main heroes in this storyline. (I'm sure Minion will appreciate this.)

Meanwhile, Darkseid, seeing earth has become weak without its greatest heroes protecting it, as they are all either behind bars or dead, comes and attacks earth in full force with his Elite. This would introduce tons of new villains to fight against in the story mode and to play as. Characters like Kalibak, Granny Goodness, Steppenwolf, and Desaad, and even Granny's Furies. This would help to totally revamp the villain side of the roster.

Batman's new Justice League fights against Darkseid's elites but cannot win as they are without the star powered heroes that are needed to fight against gods. The story will eventually lead to the redemption of most of the former members of Superman's regime. The Flash will return. Wonder Woman will return. Hal Jordan, being stripped of his power ring will not. But Batman will disagree with J'onn about bringing Superman back citing the reason that Superman could help them win the war with Apokalypse, but that he is not the same person anymore. He will hunt them down and kill them afterwards for revenge. Eventually, even Flash and Wonder Woman can't help them defeat Darkseid and several heroes are killed in combat (maybe the Flash and Tim Drake.) Batman is forced to turn to Superman. The final act of the story would obviously be a Superman act with Darkseid as the final boss. Upon defeating Darkseid, Superman holds him by the throat ready to deliver the final blow. He looks around at the wounded heroes surrounding him and realizes what he has become. It would have to be more profound than that but you get my drift. Superman passes on the opportunity to kill Darkseid. I feel like the story has to end with the redemption of Superman.

What do you all think and what are your ideas for the next game?

I like your whole concept of Darkseid's invasion and Batman's continuing fight against whoever threatens mankind (and an important role for Manhunter). I think Superman though is long gone from redemption in the Injustice saga, he's already killed tons of innocent people and to top it off, he fried a kid's brains out.

I think they should give it a different name, instead of Injustice 2. This way, they open up a lot more story possibilities. It shouldn't even be tied to IGAU.

How about something Earth 2 related? Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are dead, and it's up to new heroes to stop a threat.

Or what about a Brainiac invasion, where Brainiac takes control of certain heroes and makes them fight their allies.

I like the idea of Superman coming back at the end to save the day. But instead of allowing him back with the justice league they forgo his imprisonment and instead give him an earth restraining order. He has to find a new planet to protect or some shit like that.

I think it'd be cool to see Ra's Al Ghul and his League of assassins break Superman out of prison. The 2 of them(Superman and Ra's)can team up and finish off Gotham City this time around. Ra's can recruit some of Batman's friends and foes along the way to help start a new world order. This(of course)will make Batman request help from the alternate earth heroes. This time, feeling more threatened, the alternate earth heroes will send even stronger superheroes to clean up the mess.

We got to see Darkseid in MKVDCU, I agree we should see Brainiac. Though I'd like to see Regime Superman Merge with Brainiac kind of like Lex Luthor did in Justice League Unlimited.

Well I had time to think about a story with Trigon so this is what I came up with

Story:

"Trigon manages to escape from Hell by using Lex Luthor's portal technology, Luthor makes a deal with Trigon to help him take over Earth in exchange for Trigon helping him destroy the Justice League as he seeks vengeance against Superman. In his plan, Trigon first conquers Themyscira with the aid of the goddess, Circe and his army of demons while Lex Luthor leads a mass escape at Stryker's Island and Arkham Asylum. In order to stop Trigon's menace, Superman requests the help from the heroes of Earth 2 to stop Trigon."

I don't know, I think at this point, this particular universe had its day in the sun. If we do get another(I hope so), I want another universe.

Just think, no canon to stress over, no little inconsistencies to worry about, just a self contained story each game, like one offs in comics.

Replace supes with dick Grayson(as night wing of course) and we got something.lol. but seriously,dicks treatment I. This game,was pitiful,no battle ending,no real presence in the story,was killed lamely in the alternate universe. It just pisses me off. I'd prefer the main,unfucked universe take the stage for the next game,dick is alive,supes isn't evil,dick is alive,we may get to see a proper bat family scene outside of comics(not roster just cameos),DICK IS FUCKING ALIVE! I rest my case ;>
