Will Aquaman be power or gadget?

Kinda a mixture for all we know; assuming he'll control the water with his water-hand so leaning more towards power, yet his trident and if what we seen was a knife that he might be using as well so maybe their changing him into a gadget character.

It really only affects how they interact with the background hazards. Aquaman is more likely to pick up and slam the car than jump off it or slam your head into it. So he should be Power.

They claim that there may be even different uses per Gadget/per Power character with each background like how Flash is the only 1 that multiple slams them into the car. In this case, with Aquaman I hope that he utilizes his water-hand to simply blast the car up in the air then onto the opponent with a geyser.

I'm just hoping that the background interactions become less generic, otherwise it's just going right back to Tao Feng/X-Men Next Dimension which has really already in some way been done.

That's the other reason why I think they should at least reveal 1 more stage with the next character reveals; so we don't get bored too early.

He won't have the water hand, dude. That thing didn't last in the comics anywhere near long enough to catch on in other media. It's gonna be classic/Nu52 Aquaman.

Yeah I agree he probably won't have it, even though it would be kewl to see some form of water abilities. I have a feeling that those early designs are what their going after, so I'd assume his trident and that dagger.

Has Aquaman ever had water abilities without his water-hand?

He has Super Strength so I'd say power.

Can't they just change "gadget" to "agility" or something? It would make things a lot more simple. To answer your question, Aquaman will probably be a power character.

I would say that Aquaman would be power as well, just because he has a weapon does not mean he will be gadget. Wonder Woman has three weapons but she is still considered power ( i think) lol.

I think the Gadget/power thing is just something there using to describe the characters during development Its not like an official thing or anything. Call them agile if you wish :)

Yeah you're right, I don't think gadget will stick... but it's no biggie, right now i'm hoping they reveal more on the story at PAX.

I don't like how the characters are labled as either power or gadget. It makes the game seem so limiting. And characters like the Flash don't really fit into either definition. Why can't it just be Superman interacts like Superman would and Batman interacts the way Batman would.

As far as Aquaman goes I would say power. In his current form he doesn't use gadgets, and he's really strong.

Yeah, Aquaman is definitely a Power character. In one of the last Justice League issues, he was lifting up an entire cruise ship by himself. I bet he's going to use his trident, jam it in the car (for example) and then use it to lift up the car and drop it on his opponent.
