Question about pre-order skins?

posted04/04/2013 01:20 AM (UTC)byI haven't been following a lot of the info on the game, but after watching the video at the end of the demo I'm under the impression that the pre-order skins (Red Son and Blackest Night) are unlockable normally from Day 1 and that the pre-order just unlocks them from the get go.
Can anyone clear this up for me? I was under the impression that they would be released as DLC at a later date like the MK classic skin pack, but if they are unlockable normally through gameplay, then it wouldn't matter where I pre-ordered.

Im guessing they will probably just be released as DLC later on....
Also my question is that I still haven't pre ordered yet.. is there a deadline when it's too late?? What if i go there and try to pre order just a few days before release? will they let me? will i still get my DLC?

For gamestop preorders, do it the day before and youll get the bonus on a reciept.
For elsewhere, like walmart and bestbuy, the bonuses are usually in a slip inside the game. So the only preorder worry you would have is mostly with Gstop.

Both Gamestop and Best Buy's website's are sold out on pre-orders for the Collector's Edition and Battle Edition. Amazon still has copies for pre-order though.
I was actually looking to drop my pre-order down from the battle Edition to the Collector's Edition and that's how I found out. It's also the reason i created the thread, because I want the Red Son skin pack and originally pre-ordered the Battle Edition from Gamestop. I placed an additional order for the Collector's edition from Amazon and was considering just returning my Gamestop order once I get the pre-order code. But after seeing the end video on the demo I wasn't sure if it might make more sense to just outright and cancel the order now.
I was looking to get some kind clarification about it.
