is just a scared man child throwing a self destructive temper tantrum. Who is left to snap him out of it that is not dead or pushed away by his anger? He has nothing and noone left to fight for. Hell, he killed his biggest fan who never stopped believing in him, Lex his best friend, almost killed Superboy and recently threatened Supergirl. Finally, assuming it is still canon Alfred's death is unforgivable to me.

I could see Dr Fate takes pity on on the wicked, so Superman gets the Black Canary treatment with an alternate child or Lois shortly after his ultimate sacrifice. However, honestly I want a Black Lantern Superman by the end of I2.
