Hey guys, I don't think we have a thread for helping people out on STAR labs, this would have been really helpful to me on my trek to complete the missions, but I just managed to finish 3-starring them all yesterday. Some stars can be confusing, some need strategy etc if anyone needs help or advice this is the thread to go to. 3-starring these missions is very possible, it just takes some time, and patience

We know it's possible, it's just not worth doing for a Flash costume.

it is worth doing for the flash costume, because in all honesty its not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. It takes no longer to beat then any challenging part of any other game, like all other game just takes practice and a few attempts, why is that okay in other games, but in star labs people are complaining about it non-stop

also the flash costume is his best one in the game, saying you don't care enough to do it is what I said at first when I wanted to be lazy and give up on star lab, but after seeing it through I can tell you its definitely worth it

Whoa, man. You can't offer help and then just straight up start being a dick to people. That's not how it works.

all im saying is its a challenge, but having beat it I don't think its as hard as I originally thought, when I first started I thought it was hopeless, so I guess im trying to offer some encouragement to all the people who think its impossible. If anyone wants assistance i will gladly help, thats why I started this thread, I didnt mean for my reply to seem as jerkish as it maybe was? The joys of typed text, you dont know what the poster really means

Agreed. I've watched the ign guides on the few characters they have done and when attempting the missions myself they don't seem hard at all. You just need to know what your doing, as some of the requirements are confusing, but they can be done with multiple attempts.

I've done 5 characters so far and for the most part the're not frustratingly annoying, just time consuming.

yeah its just time consuming, but not even that much, I've been casually playing star labs since release and just got 3 stars so I guess it took about 2-3 weeks but still that's not so bad, gives the player more to do in the long run for single player, im sure people would complain if it was too easy, I kinda liked the challenge

I know some of the stars can be confusing, that's why I wanted to start this thread to help people out, if I had something like this when I was playing through it probably would have made it easier and less confusing!

The thing is, you get 2 skins from Starlabs: Lex's Kryptonite suit for getting 1 star on each mission and the Elseworld Flash for getting 3 stars. You can easily get 2 stars on most missions without even trying. I don't get why some people are so averse to replaying the missions a few times to get all 3 stars? Even if your not a Flash fan (like me) I still think its worth doing. To each his own though.

I need some advice/help on Batman's S.T.A.R. Labs mission number 17. The one requirement says "win using only special moves". Pretty straight forward but after doing exactly that for around 10 times now I still have not gotten the star. Am I doing something wrong? Should I use every special move he has? Shouldnt I meter burn? This sh*t is really starting to frustrate me. Thanx in advance to whoever can help me out.

for missions like that you need to make sure you are only doing what they say, so in this case special moves, so don't do enhanced specials, or attacks, I wouldn't even jump, only move and do non meter burned specials and you'll get it!

How would you rate getting all stars in comparison to beating MKs challenge tower 100%?

Just curious, I haven't picked the game up yet, but I don't do things like this if they're tedious.

While I haven't beaten it myself, I just reach the halfway point about an hour ago. As far as I can tell I think it's actually easier, from an AI and difficulty perspective. It's just tedious and knowing what to do because there are essentially 3 objectives for each challenge. There is basically 1 primary and 2 secondary objectives. If you want to unlock the Elseworld flash costume you need to complete all objectives, but they do stack, so you don't need to do them all in one try. Actually some of them you can't get in one try. Some of the objects can be contradictory to each other. Like one object might be to win without using a super move and the other objective might be to win with a super move.

The most difficult ones for me are the ones about avoiding missiles, Shooting grenades/arrows and swinging at rocks.

Abso-fucking-lutely. I was just about to put that.

Shooting stuff into the wind and not missing for that 3rd star is a nightmare, because even if you know where you want the meter to be, you can still miss because it travels quite fast.

Swinging at rocks - WHY!?!?! why is it for four characters??? Those things travel too fast, you have not a large amount of reach, and if you swing just a tiny tad too early or late, you'll get hit, and during recovery time get hit again.

Avoiding missiles and rocks (as Cyborg and Hawkgirl). Pure EVIL. As Lex underwater it was surprisingly easier than i expected.

Green Arrow's thing of shoting at the rocks on the way down. WTH is that 'don't whiff' supposed to mean?

GL vs Sinestro in GL's final mission. The controls work against you i think, and avoiding him is just a pain in the rectum.

Ares' invisibility mission is a total douche with a capital bag. The Amazon is fast and not averse to using all the interactibles, so even though she doesn't have projectiles, she does.

Catwoman's one where she fights off 20 guards and you have to avoid getting hit once took me FOREVER (hours).

And what's with the 'fight two characters (with two health bars) and win with at least one full health bar'? I can't tap buttons that fast, I'm NOT the Flash.

on the green arrow mission, when they say don't "whiff" that pretty much means you cant miss an arrow, every arrow you shoot has to take out a rock

done this morning. I'm very pleased with my Flash skin. The missions involving avoiding stuff takes effort, memory skills, practice and patience.

The final Black Adam mission nearly killed me - i was about to explode with frustration. Playing a distance game (though risky against KF) was ultimately how i won, because getting in close for combos (like i like to do) was getting me frozen and vulnrable for punishment too much.

I got about 545 stars. The black adam with the ice cubes is really frustrating. I hope I can the rest of the stars.smile
