Season Pass controversy

It seems as though A LOT of people on Injustice's facebook page didn't fully understand what exactly the Season Pass included. It was stated in black and white:

"Season Pass Holders to Receive Four Characters for the Price of Three,
As Well As the Bonus Flashpoint Skin Pack

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced a Season Pass for the upcoming DC Comics fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. Available for purchase at launch for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the Injustice: Gods Among Us Season Pass grants purchasers access to four of the game’s upcoming downloadable characters for the price of three.

The Injustice: Gods Among Us Season Pass will be available in North America when the game launches, April 16, for $14.99 (PlaySation®Network) or 1200 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network) and offers exclusive access to the Flash Point Skin Pack featuring alternate costumes for Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Deathstroke."

yet people are complaining that they're releasing other (OPTIONAL) skins that aren't included in the Season Pass.

I really don't see an issue and I honestly don't find NRS at fault here. It was these consumers that made the ultimate choice to spare the extra $15 to get exactly what was stated above. So why all the hubbub?

I personally dont have the season pass (i use my cousins SP) but even I knew the description for the season pass was for the characters not for 'all future content'.

That's what I mean Led. Everyone is all up in arms because they feel their being cheated. The description was pretty clear to me when I decided to buy it at Gamestop because I missed out on MK 2011's season pass (just didn't feel like getting it)

Yup, this where reading is important glasses

The only SP i own is the one for AC3. The description was clear of what it includes so I got it.


My cousin is getting these costumes (So I would as well) so we cool with all of it smile

It's probably because the system they had in place for the MK 2011 Season Pass. Honestly, I'm unimpressed by the Season Pass for Injustice. Mostly because they kinda cheaped out. Am I gonna bitch on Facebook about it, NO!
Injustice is a great game, and I hope NRS does really well for themselves. I just hope they make enough to deliver sequels to Injustice and Mortal Kombat.

I linked the official website where I pulled that paragraph from but I shouldn't have had to do that. All it takes is 30 seconds to do some research. That's the problem with the world today, people expect everything to be free and handed to them with little to no effort.
Good to see a group of users here that are reasonable and well informed. Can i live here? :)

People are pissed because the MK Season Pass included everything. Thats what a season pass is. This is a character bundle. I only expected the 4 DLC Characters and the Flashpoint skins. Anything else would have be a bonus.

I'm not happy because I set next to Steve Barun (spelling) on a plane and we talked DLC (this was before the game was out.)

1. MMH(Black Manta if MMH was one of the last in)
2. Lobo
3. Power Girl (she won the Poll)
4. Atrocious
5. Firestorm

He said that I would be happy

If I recall correctly, the MK Season Pass did not include everything. The preorder bonuses, i.e. the first set of retro skins and Scorp/Sub/Reptile Fatalities, were a pack sold separately.

The MK season pass only included characters. No costumes or anything else was apart of that deal.

Nah I don't think it did. Like users above me said, it contained/purchased Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain and freddy. It did include have the preorder costumes (extra fatalities for scorpion, subzero and Reptile).

also if I remember correctly, didn't the MK season pass come out like...After skarlet was made purchasable? If I remember...is that why some people got pissed because they spent 5$ (idk how much it is for xbox) for Skarlet and then the season pass was available like a week after? Im almost sure that happened

I'd be pissed if I had to get all the extra stuff with the Season Pass.

There are some things I just don't want. I'm glad only a select set of DLC is available for the Season Pass. That's how it should be, to me at least.

One thing I will say is they should've sold the costumes individually. For instance, I really like Raven's costume, but hate Cyborg's. And the only way for me to get Raven's is to get Cyborg's as well.

Or at least have the option of buying them as a pack or separately.
