Were the Harley nerfs really needed?
Harley was already a C tier fighter and with the nerfs she's probably now the sole D tier fighter after the Bane and Lobo buffs. When you only have one fighter who isn't tournament viable, that's not good.
I agree with her nerfs as they were more normalizations to things that weren't intended rather than deliberately trying to weaken the character. What mostly has people pissed though is that she needed buffs in some areas (like her nigh worthless trait) to go along with the nerfs.

At the same time, Harley shoudln't be buffed to the point where she's like pre-nerf Deathstroke or Aquaman who would take out half your life bar with chip damage but she does need some modest buffs since she doesn't have much going for her.
Lex also needs a bit of love as well. He has trouble getting in and his projectiles are easily dodged. He needs either bigger hitboxes for his projectiles or some of his frames removed to speed him up.

The only changes I would make to Harley:
-B121 needs to be a string that will complete on block.
-B22 needs to be a string that will complete on block.
Then one of the following:
A) DB1 needs to be fast enough to anti-air on reaction.
B) D2's hitbox needs to be anti-air Viable.
THEN she will be a perfectly balanced and not OP character. Other than that, I love her.
-B121 needs to be a string that will complete on block.
-B22 needs to be a string that will complete on block.
Then one of the following:

Yeah she's a slept on character right now. Her BnB's do solid damage which can surprise people and she has some interesting mix ups. I wish the startup on her AA guns was quicker though. Trait is garbage and needs addressed ASAP, NRS dropped the ball with that big time. Worst in the game now.
@Casselman: Why would you want B2,2 to complete on block though when you can input B2,2 ~ TS combo and if the first B2 is blocked then the rest won't come out?

She was able to cancel her 2D3 before a few patches, someone at NRS must hate Harley.
Maybe it's just me, i think harley is kinda cheap.I mean it's one thing to have ranged attacks in your combos(gunshots) but it's another when it with your sweep,and when that sweep is extremely quick,like one of the fastest in the game,makes it near impossible to tell what you should be blocking.It could just be me though,idk.

Yeah it's you. It sounds like you have trouble with D3 regardless of the character. Harley's raw D3 has the same range / speed as a lot of the cast.

Yeah it's you. It sounds like you have trouble with D3 regardless of the character. Harley's raw D3 has the same range / speed as a lot of the cast.
Idk the letters/numders stuff(not that hardcore,still love the game),but i'll assume D3 is sweeps.It just seems odd that harley could be standing there then,BAM! i got shot at what seems to be just outside of sweep range,and there was no stand/crouch transition animation either,now it's either you can do that and i haven't known or seen that before,or harleys sweep is quick enough to just skip past that.Like i said i don't know,i don't pretend to,but i'm just trying to figure out possibilities.I guess my connection could've gone slow a few times,i guess.But my connections usually very good.

D3 (down + heavy) is her sweep and she does crouch for that with the opponent left on knockdown so that might not be what you're talking about. If you block the sweep then you can punish pretty easily. I'm guessing if she's still standing then what you're talking about is B+2, 2 (back + Medium, Medium ) which is her only low starting combo string and pretty crucial to her mix ups.
If she's catching you with it just block low, and punish. She's not as cheap as you're making her out to be.

Exactly my point. It needs to complete on block into the Tantrum. You can combo out of 112 and it works just fin.e but the gunshots on B121 and B22 don't? It literally makes no sense. Need to be regular strings that will complete even when blocked.
