Scorpion is the most popular of MK characters and has a bigger fan base. And Obviously you like him better. But it doesn't mean he can beat every single MK fighter. Shao Kahn will have the upper hand and Show Scorpion who is Boss

well im not saying that he can beat everybody, but i look into the characters and find the ups and down and i could be wrong. but i know scorpion is a very unique fighter, and playing him and watching him, scorpion is a very good and dangerous character. and with shao kahn and scorpion, who knows. there both dead and u cant die again. but kahns much slower. and only uses that damn hammer. w/e though.

Scorpion is an undead Ninja who is strong in body, but weak in mind.
Now he is a jackass, that rushes into any fight, just to have his but kicked badly.

Shao Kahn is an immortal, almost as powerfull as a God, he is Thousands of years old, and can consume all the souls of an entire realm, just by himself.
Do you think that a guy like Scorpion, can defeat a guy that has been the emperor of Outworld for thousands of years?

Kahn is so powerfull in black magic and sorcery, that he just uses his knowledge of those areas when he conquers a new realm. For minor needs, he has the Shadow Priests, and Shang Tsung.

Shao Kahn would most probably beat the hell out of scorpion, and then destroy his soul, without mercy.

Liu Kang only beat him once. And he did it with the help of Earth's warriors. Boon or Vogel said a long time ago that even though you fight Kahn in MK2 game in the game storyline he never actually fights but the point of the MK2 game was for the earth warriors (and the mk fans) getting a glimpse of Shao Kahn. The only reason Kahn lost to them was because of Sindel's betrayal. As we already know Sindel was his key to Earth realm and once Sindel rejected him Kahn lost his power and stronghold making him Vulnerable to defeat by Liu and the other Earth Warriors. If Sheeva was Guarding Sindel, Instead of dealing with the trouble the Shokans had the Centuarians,Kitana would not have been able to reach Sindel and remind her of the past thus breaking the spell, And Kahn would have anihillated all Mortals including Liu Kang and his invasion Successful.

Spectre? you said kahn was slow, you're only going by fighting him in the games.

I go for Scorpion to but Kahn does move slow with the hammer. Scorpions tele punch and Skull of fire fatality with rape kahn. I'm with Spectre

Shao Khan.

I like both characters equally, and I can honestly say that Kahn would win beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Also let me point out that Shao Kahn may know Black magic but his powers of darkness goes far beyond sorcery. I mean the ability to merge realms and slaughter the people by ripping their souls is a move sorcerers can't achieve.

He is so over-powered, that he just refuses to use his abilities in any regular issue. He has Shadow Priests serving him, that can acomplish those minor tasks.

And besides, in MK Conquest, in episode 11 "Thicker than blood"
there is a scene where scorpion is seen serving Shao Kahn, as a gatherer of warriors in Earthrealm, with the purpose of creating an army. In that scene, Scorpion is presenting his report to the Emperor, when his rebeld personality comes up, and he starts talking like if he was very needed by the Emperor, and he could not be threated like a meagre slave. Scorpion raises his voice, and Kahn just creates a force pressure arround Scorpion's neck. The guy nearly died there.
And in episode 15, scorpion's "girlfriend" is talking arrogantly to Kahn, making the emperor to say that they were nearly becoming his enemies, and Scorpion just shuts up the woman's mouth, very rushly, and obeys to Kahn.
