But yeah UMK3, MK:DA are the best MK's factually balance wise.

Some might argue gameplay wise also but I must admit, MK:A improved a lot of things from MKD's problems...in MKD, lot of plants the lead to infinites, all 50/50 offensive game, no wake up, shitty jumping too many glitches such as free throws, OTG's into unbreakable stuff.

MKA has the air kombat problems such as 33, AC however the ground game is MUCH improved compared to MKD. You can parry, wake up or roll out of the way and jump now and get some space. In these ways MKA is better. I can tell you this because I've played thousands upon thousands of matches online between MKD and MKA. Big difference in both games despite the similar engine. There are some differences.

With the 3D games it's a matter of opinion I guess as to which is the best. Some like MK:DA, MKD or MKA. I like all of them personally. My opinion, MK:DA had the best balance and side stepping out of the 3D's easily, MKD had the best online play (MK:DA had none and it's better then MKA online) and MKA has the wake up, parries and oldschool jumping mechanic so I like all of them a lot. Konquest was best in MKA but pretty good in the other two IMO, Puzzle and Motor Kombat are the best mini games IMO.

Chess was boring..and only required certain memorized patterns to win and owning the two squares. KAK I like in MKA, you can have some fun with it if you're artistic like me or many others on here that love art. You can create anyone if you know what you're doing. I know I have so far hehe.

The 3D's I like all of them, hell I like every MK.

But as much as I like MKT it's not as good as UMK3. MKT is not balanced well, you can do combos in it that you can't do in UMK3 since MKT is not an arcade ported game. It's it's own game. BTW, MK3 is a upgrade from MK1 & MK2 with autocombs, faster gameplay and the addition of the run button.

But I enjoy both, just UMK3 more. Noob and Rain are way broken in MKT.

MKG is pretty good but same as MK4 more or less with the few extra characters. I was happy to see Cyrax in MKG, but it's the same game with little change really just with a few more characters.

What's MKU? Mortal Kombat Unchained.

It's just MKD with Frost, Blaze, Jax and Kitana added. These characters were added with just their fighting styles, special moves and finishers from MKDA.

That's why MKU is the worst MK upgrade.

Trilogy was the best, followed by Gold.

Ohhh MKU yeah the portable, ehh it's a slight upgrade not nearly as much as MKA is from MKD though. MKU is not too bad, but honestly I thought it was a waste with MKA coming out not too far after it....


It was just a fast, good game temporarily til for MKA came out for the Sony portable fans for the PSP since the PSP is crap pretty much to begin with. I mean the amount of really good games for it alone aren't many.

MKT is actually an upgrade of UMK3 but I think that both MKT and MKU are good. Why ?? MKT has almost ALL players of MKs and MKU has better graphics, Konquest mode, and new players and costumes.

MKT isn't really an upgrade of UMK3, more like a "home version" with Rain and Noob, Bosses etc because people saw Rain and Noob in UMK3 and got excited, so Midway decided to put them into MKT home versions instead of UMK3.

BTW, MKT is fun but broken sadly. UMK3 is a lot more balanced and such. Noob and Rain are very broken.
