Which Voice Wins? - Weekly Voice Comparison
Many characters in the Mortal Kombat series have had various actors to portray them over the years to be accepted by audiences and fans. This topic is to ask you who YOU think portrayed them best. Which is your favorite and the best depiction of your favorite characters?
This week, we focus on Raiden !

Jeffrey Meek was one of the best because he played not only Raiden but Shao Kahn too (in MK Konquest, as we all know). I favoured his performance as he showed Raiden's upbeat, sarcastic humour. For a side of Raiden which is seldom seen, Jeff covered it reasonably well.
I definitely think Meek had a wonderful performance as Raiden!
However, I should have made it more clear that I meant on a voice acting level, so in any game or cartoon that used the character.
Personally, my favorite was either Tom Taylor from MKA or the one from Deadly Alliance. Taylor had a really nice voice for ALL of the characters he voiced, but there's a lot of nostalgia in the MKDA voice Raiden had. Not to mention, I thought it sounded a lot more powerful and thunger god-like than what we have now in Epcar.

I'm torn between Raiden's MKDA voice actor and Richard Epcar in MK9.

I feel like Epcar's version of Raiden really nails it; I could get that some people think it might be a little bland, but I think it has a good, stoic mentor kinda vibe to it (also, I'm a fan of Ghost in the Shell, so... yeah).
Raiden's other VAs from the 3D era were OK for me, but seemed very generic (then again, this was back when they seemed to be recycling voice actors across all characters for what they were worth).
