Out of the two Sub-Zero brothers, I have to go with the older one. He killed Scorpion, and while he did eventually get killed by Scorpion himself, younger Sub never did defeat the ninja spectre. When older Sub became Noob Saibot, he was also talented enough to defeat Prince Goro.

Out of Sonya Blade and Kano, I'd really like to see a twist added to their fights, with Kano being the more effective fighter of the two, but underestimating Sonya, leading to his defeat. But yeah, these two apparently canonically fought in MK3, and Sonya threw Kano off a building to what should have been his death. Take that as what you will.

On an open-front assault, Special Forces would of course have the fire power to defeat the Black Dragon. We're talking secret operations here, though. But yeah, the SF pretty much eradicated the Black Dragon.

I'm just trying to remember what happened in the Deception endings of Baraka and Mileena. I don't believe that either really killed the other in a fair fight. That being said, I think both have a lot going for them as fighters (even though Baraka is boring as hell). Baraka did lead the attack on the Shaolin temples, but how much fighting did he actually do? Mileena was trained by Shao Kahn, but she seems awfully eager to ambush Baraka. I think Mileena would ultimately come out on top.

I much prefer Shang Tsung as Mortal Kombat's sorcerer, but Deception pretty much established that Quan Chi is the stronger of the two. Grr. The power of Onaga is also pretty absolute. The Deadly Alliance had the confidence to jump Shao Kahn. They could do nothing to Onaga -- Kahn had to poison him to take the throne. So yeah, Quan Chi and Onaga as the winners there.
