great job, i personaly think that blood will ruin it, because it'll look too messy, i love it the way it is. i realy like the way that johnny cage's skin is falling. =)

He he, welcome to the world of animation. If you start getting into 3D it gets worse. I once did a cinema for a game where I was to show an ariel shot of a "lost land" valley. It had mountains, a valley, a waterfall, volcano, castle, village, gobs of forests, river, and on and on. 5km worth of landscape. All together it took a week to build, and 36 hours to render the whole thing. You know how long it was? 5 seconds, but man what a 5 seconds it was.

On to the picture, great job. If you do add blood, make it small amounts that spurt from the back when he's standing. This is a great use of the existing sprites and some costums it looks like. Don't worry and don't stop, it gets faster the more you practice.
