a little help with a wallpaper if you can be bothered..

howdy. i really want that hi res mileena pic from the official depeption page as my wallpaper. but i dont want to distort it my monitor is @ 1024 by 768 and im really crap when it comes to digital art on the computer i have no clue what im doing arghhh sad

i was wondering if someone out there is great photoshop skills could edit the image for me to suit my screen. i dont know if it doesnt stretch out to the sides but i guess i want the heigh to fit properly. then agian if no one can really be bothered no big deal

right click an image that you want as wallpaper, click set as back ground, that is it!!!!!
yup but if i do that the proportion for the wallpaper changes. have you seen how large the image is (on the officla site)?
just a question for photoshoppers, is it possible to simply shrink the image without screwing too much with the res?

Shrinking the picture means you are changing the res. The amount of detail will drop just because it is lower res. I will download and just see what the different resampling methods in photoshop do for the resize.

Also, there could be some cropping done to keep the quality higher and just make the pic smaller. Would you be interested in that?

yup i dont care bout the left and right sides as when i would use it for my wallpaper i would just set the back ground to black. but yeah i guess the issue is more fitting the top and bottom properly and not really making the pic look too strange. only if you got the time if you can't its not biggie, but thanks for the reply.

Go to : http://dhost.info/dreemernj/ and click on Mileena Background in the top left. Its a really fast simple one thats 1024x768.
