Or this could be a raid by the Special Forces unit. OIA are the only excuse for firearms in MK, plus I don't know if the technology would be different compared with the Doom Marine's.

You do know gunpowder was literally invented by a Chinese Wizard? Technically it's "magical",

like how Nuclear reactors count as Astrology because they rely on the Power of the Stars,

and prove Alchemy because Transmutation is real.
